There are a whole bunch of merchants in Gothic 1 Remake—21 of them, scattered literally throughout the colony: from the forges of the Swamp Camp to Xardas’s Tower in the orcish lands. Some sell you ore and blueprints, others runes, amulets, and transmutation scrolls, and some simply buy your junk for nuggets. Below is a full breakdown of each NPC vendor: where to find them, what they have in their inventory, and how much it costs. Let’s be clear: the largest number of shops are concentrated in the New Camp, so if you want a wider selection, that’s the place to go.
Prices are always listed in ore nuggets (the local currency in Gothic 1 Remake), and some merchants only unlock after completing certain quests or joining a faction. Keep this in mind before rushing halfway across the colony.

New Camp Merchants
This is the New Camp, where the vendors are most numerous. Swamp, rice, Water mages—and a whole scattering of shops for every taste: from the bartender to the colony’s chief mage.

Baal Isidro—herbs and ingredients
Where to find: in the bar by the lake in New Camp.

Kronos is the colony’s richest mage.
Where to find: in the New Camp’s residential cave. Look either in the inner circle, near the magic stones, or in the Water Mages’ chambers.
If Gothic 1 Remake even has a “main store for a mage,” it’s Kronos’s shop. Runes of all kinds, rings, amulets, scrolls, transformations, and even exotic ones like the Swamp Shark. The fattest counter in the game:

A Brief Guide to Trading in Gothic 1 Remake
To summarize: for melee weapons and blueprints, go to Darrion, Skip, and Sharki; for bows, go to Cavalorn and Wolf; for magic of all levels, go to Baal Kadar, Torres, and especially Kronos; and top-tier two-handed weapons are wielded by Skorpio and Sharki. The most powerful items (including the anti-undead rune) will only be unlocked from Xardas in Chapter 4. Plan your route in advance—traveling across the entire colony for just one scroll is a dubious pleasure.
