Fortnite has long had more than just a battle royale mode. Epic Games Creative mode has expanded into a whole universe of user-made maps, and one of the most intriguing is Droid Tycoon, a Star Wars-themed tycoon where players build droids and develop their own workshop. The map has a limited-time event window, and it’s worth it.
The BB-8 event starts this weekend, May 9th and 10th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Moscow time. It’s only two hours a day—but you can still claim the legendary droid during that time. We’ll explain what to do and which blocks to turn in.

How to get BB-8 in Droid Tycoon?
The premise is simple: The Resistance is collecting BB blocks, and Poe Dameron needs fast couriers. Players take on the role of these couriers. The main goal is to turn in 10 BB Blocks while the event is active. Doing so rewards you with BB-8. No additional payments or complicated quests—just hand over the parts and receive the droid.

Which droids exactly count toward your progress? Here’s the full list:
-
2BB

BB
-
CB
-
BAL-CORE
-
ORB-WALKER
-
OPTI-STRK

Any of them will do. The main thing is to complete the task within the two-hour window. By the way, if you turn in 25 BB Blocks, Poe Dameron will give you an additional objective. The reward is the “Regalia of the Resistance” paint. It’s not mandatory, but it’s a nice bonus.
BB-8 Stats in Fortnite
Getting the droid is more than just a collectible. BB-8 provides real in-game bonuses in Tycoon mode.
First, a unique companion effect: 100% boost to upgrade chip pickup. This dramatically speeds up leveling.
Secondly, as a worker droid, BB-8 generates 50 credits per second. Combined with other bonuses, this adds up to a 5% increase in credit income per second. For Droid Tycoon newcomers, this is a real breakthrough. It allows you to quickly level up your workshop and move on to more expensive upgrades.

In short, the event is a great excuse to jump into Creative Mode for a couple of hours. The Droid Tycoon map is already pretty good, but with BB-8, it becomes even more interesting. Don’t miss the window: Saturday and Sunday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Moscow time. Hand in 10 blocks and you’ll receive a permanent droid.
