Lacrimosa in Neverness to Everness is quite a damage machine, but only if you don’t interfere with it. Its advantage: A character gives out the maximum when she is the only main damager in the squad. The rest of us have nothing much to do on the field — either they quickly took a nap and left, or they hardly pretend to have screen time. In this article, I’ll look at which commands work best for Lacrimosa in NTE, and how to rotate correctly.

The best builds and squads for Lacrimosa in NTE
The best bundle I’ve tested looks like this: Lacrimosa + Baican + Sakiri + Haniel. All three support players trigger the reactions “Nova”, “Burn” and “Discord”, but they do not steal precious time on the field from Lacrimosa. By the way, Sakiri and Haniel are also buffing the attack, which increases her damage.

If the budget is modest, then take the F2P option: Lacrimosa + Adler + Haniel + any S-rank available. Here, Haniel still gives buffs, Adler helps with control or survival, and you close the fourth slot with what you have in your inventory.
The perfect squad change with Baitsan and Sakiri
Lacrimosa needs a lot of time on the field to smear enemies. Therefore, the rest must be completed quickly. And Sakiri and Haniel are doing great: I pressed skills, got enhanced Nova and Burn, and immediately switched over. No long animations.
But Baytsan is an interesting case. He will have to share the field with Lacrimosa to charge the esper scale. But it’s worth it: it enhances the “Burn” reactions, and the periodic damage from them becomes much higher. And there is another bonus — a special animation when Baican and Lacrimosa are on the same team. It’s a nice little thing that highlights their synergy.

The sequence of shifts is as follows:
-
First, you add buffs from Haniel and Sakiri.
-
Then you switch to Baitsan — you need to fill his esper scale.
-
As soon as the scale is full, you remove the Lacrimose. She is flexible: she can quickly jump onto the field and leave just as quickly if necessary.
I advise you to call Nova through Haniel more often. This reaction is more difficult to trigger than a “Burn” (two people are working on it at once), but the reward is higher.
Character replacement options in the team
Do you want to see “Discord” more often? Remove the Baytsan and install the Daffodil. It was created for shuttle switching between the types of “Psyche” and “Incantation” — this is how “Discord” is born. And if you don’t have enough vitality, then you change Haniel to Fadia or Adler. Your survival rate will soar, but if you lose some of your attack buffs, you’ll have to choose.
The best budget F2P squad without donation
No Baitsan or Sakiri? It doesn’t matter. Collect Lacrimosa + Adler + Haniel and add any S-rank that is in the collection. Adler will give you control or a shield, Haniel will give you a standard attack boost, and let S—rank do what he can. This is not a top efficiency issue, but it’s enough to get through the main content behind your eyes. And your pockets won’t be empty.
The synergy of Adler and Haniel in the NTE meta

If you have neither the strength nor the desire to save for banners, such a team is going to. We take Adler and Haniel — both A-rank, both reliable, both not greedy for screen time. Haniel, by the way, increases Lacrimosa’s attack and crit damage through his skills, clothes, and awakenings. A solid bonus for a free character.
Adler does something else: he gives shields, and when the team triggers a “Burn”, he also throws small attenuations on the enemies. Not a miracle, but a pleasure.
Switching between these three is easy — you manage to trigger all the espers’ reactions that Lacrimosa needs to enhance. And in the fourth position, you put any character of the “Psyche” or “Incantation” types that already exists in the collection. Sakiri, Baytsan, Daffodil — it doesn’t matter. They will only improve the rotation and make the team resilient. As a bonus, no expenses.
Why Lacrimosa Won’t Hurt in Neverness to Everness
Crit Leveling Errors and Haniel Buffs
Many players thoughtlessly plunge into a clean attack, completely forgetting about the balance of stats (which is completely in vain). Haniel’s awakenings powerfully accelerate Lacrimosa’s crit damage, but this boost scales only from the base crit chance. It looks like the 70% bar is critical here. If your value is lower, each new unit of attack power will bring much less profit than the unit of chance of a critical hit. First, close this threshold, and only then accelerate the remaining numbers.
Timing errors by Sakiri and Haniel
The rotation in the game breaks down due to the microscopic delay: Sakiri and Haniel do not activate their powerups instantly, but with a small ping after pressing skills. Lacrimosa was released on the field ahead of time, and her first shots fly “naked”, without any bonuses at all. On normal mobs, it’s nothing. However, in the long boss phases, such misses add up to a real sagging DPS. Therefore, the point here is not at all a bad character build, but a banal confusion with timings and skewed management priorities.
