Lulu

Few champions warp an enemy’s plans like Lulu. An enchanter played mostly as support and occasionally in the mid lane, she doesn’t win fights with her own damage so much as by rewriting what everyone else’s champion can do: her ally hits faster and survives longer, while the enemy carry is suddenly a harmless critter.

Her laning is deceptively aggressive for a support. Pix, her faerie companion, fires homing bolts alongside her attacks, and Help, Pix! can attach him to an enemy to add poke or to an ally to shield them and empower their attacks. Glitterlance, fired by both Lulu and Pix, damages and heavily slows everything in its path, making it both a poke tool and a peel tool. Whimsy is the swing card of the kit, either a speed boost that turns an ally into a diving threat or a polymorph that removes an enemy from the fight entirely, unable to attack or cast.

Wild Growth defines her teamfighting: it enlarges an ally, knocks up surrounding enemies, grants a huge chunk of bonus health and leaves a slowing aura. Cast on a diving bruiser it is an engage tool; cast on a carry being jumped on it is one of the best save buttons in the game. Lulu’s weaknesses mirror her strengths: she is squishy, cooldown-dependent and largely a passenger if her carries fall behind. She fits players who love reactive, high-attention support play, where the satisfaction comes from a perfectly timed polymorph rather than a kill.
