Deception is the entire game plan when playing Shaco. Rated among the hardest champions to master, this assassin wins by making opponents fight information they don’t have: invisible approaches, hidden traps, and a clone indistinguishable from the real thing. Though listed for mid, his kit of ambushes and jungle-box setups makes him a natural roamer who thrives on catching enemies where they feel safe.
Deceive is the engine — Shaco turns invisible and teleports, and his first attack from stealth is empowered, critically striking if delivered from behind to synergize with his Backstab passive, which adds damage to attacks and shivs that strike from the rear. Jack In The Box plants hidden fearing turrets that define his macro play: stacked in a bush they can delete an unsuspecting carry, scattered around objectives they provide vision and zone control. Two-Shiv Poison slows on-hit and can be thrown for bonus execute damage against targets below 30% health, giving him a clean finisher.
Hallucinate creates an illusion of Shaco that attacks enemies and explodes into three mini boxes on death. Used well, it dodges key abilities, splits enemy focus in fights, and sells fake retreats — the mind games it enables are the reason veterans call Shaco a champion you play against the opponent’s brain.
His melee range and modest defenses mean mistakes are punished brutally, and he offers little when behind. Shaco is for players who love outthinking opponents, setting traps minutes in advance, and winning through misdirection rather than raw stat checks.

WShaco creates a hidden animated Jack-in-the-Box. When triggered, it will fear and attack nearby enemies.
EShaco's Shivs passively poison targets on hit, slowing their Move Speed. He can throw his Shivs to deal damage and poison the target. The thrown Shiv deals bonus damage if the target is below 30% health.
RShaco creates an illusion of himself near him, which can attack nearby enemies (Deals reduced damage to turrets). Upon death, it explodes, spawning three mini Jack in the Boxes and dealing damage to nearby enemies.
