PTriumphant Roar
Alistar charges his roar by stunning or displacing enemy champions or when nearby enemies die. When fully charged he heals himself all nearby allied champions.
the Minotaur
Alistar remains the archetype of the hard-engage support: a melee tank whose job is to start fights on his terms and make sure his carry survives them. His famous combo — Headbutt into Pulverize, or Pulverize into Headbutt buffered mid-toss — either isolates a target away from its team or launches a whole cluster of enemies into the air. Landing the flash-Pulverize is one of the game’s classic skill checks, and the reason his difficulty rating is higher than his simple ability list suggests.
Beyond the burst of crowd control, Trample lets him walk through units while stacking damage on enemy champions; at full stacks his next basic attack stuns, giving him a third layer of lockdown for extended brawls. Triumphant Roar converts all that disruption into sustain, charging as he stuns or displaces champions and healing himself and nearby allies when fully charged — meaningful chip healing during laning and sieges.
Unbreakable Will is what makes diving with Alistar feel safe: he roars, cleanses all crowd control on himself, and massively reduces incoming physical and magical damage. He can sit under an enemy turret soaking hits while his team follows up. Though listed for both support and top, he thrives wherever a team needs a frontline initiator. Players who love dictating the tempo of teamfights — and who don’t mind farming assists instead of kills — will feel at home on the Minotaur.
