FACEIT has changed the schedule for the current Counter-Strike 2 competitive season, with the seventh stage now concluding on April 21 at 6:59 AM New York time. The organizers had originally planned to announce the results two weeks earlier, on April 6.
The extra time will allow players to finish their ladder positions and compete for top spots. Season 8 begins the following day, April 22. Platform representatives excited the community with the announcement of “numerous updates.” The developers will reveal details of the rating changes and new features throughout March.
Season 7 is currently running as usual. Users continue to earn ELO points and compete for slots in the Master and FPL Challenger divisions.
Meanwhile, insiders are fueling interest in the map pool. Data miner Maxim Thour has published a new list of maps previously found in CS2 files. It’s possible the location rotation will coincide with the launch of Season 8 on the platform.
