Bolt Blaster Games has officially set the release date for The Spell Brigade from early Access — the cooperative bullet heaven will reach a full release on PC on Steam and PS5 consoles on April 29. The success of the project is difficult to ignore: during its stay in Early Access, the game has sold over a million copies, collecting over 13,000 “very positive” reviews on Steam.

What awaits players in The Spell Brigade 1.0 version
The developers of Bolt Blaster Games have prepared a large-scale content update for the release, which should refresh the gameplay for both beginners and veterans who have played hundreds of hours since the game was released on September 16, 2024.
Here are the main innovations of the upcoming patch:

Replenishment in the magicians’ roster. The list of available characters will expand — the 15th wizard with unique mechanics will be added to the game.

The Ascension system and progression. Players will be able to reset the mage’s rank, receiving in return special badges and access to secret costumes that change the starting spells.

New threats. Thieves stealing resources, elite mini-bosses, and another full-fledged boss battle will be added to the opponent roster.

Hardcore modifiers. For those to whom the basic difficulty level seems like a walk, optional settings will be introduced for accelerated leveling at the cost of increased risk.
The soundtrack from the Grammy winner
A separate reason for the pride of Bolt Blaster Games was the music. The soundtrack for the release version of The Spell Brigade was written by Austin Wintory, a composer whose work in Journey, Hades II and Assassin’s Creed has long been a benchmark in the industry.
