It appears that the development hell is behind Undertale’s creator. While it took the team seven long years to polish Chapters 3 and 4 (even though the first two were released way back in 2018), the pace has changed dramatically. Fox himself admitted that during the production of Chapter 5, the creators found the right workflow and resolved a ton of technical issues. This will allow the studio to tackle the sequel without further delay—full production on Chapter 6 will begin by the end of this year. It seems the long-running project has truly reached full speed.
