Assassin’s Creed will take the stage: Ubisoft announces the show Heredis - Image 1

It seems that jumping from cathedrals and hiding in the crowd will now be possible not only in the game. Ubisoft has announced the creation of a full—fledged stage show based on the Assassin’s Creed universe – and this is much bigger than another concert with an orchestra.

The show was named Heredis. This is an original production inspired by the world of the game series. The world premiere will take place on December 3, 2026 at Théâtre Maisonneuve in Montreal, and then the show will move to Casino de Paris, where the first screenings will begin on January 21, 2027.

Parkour, acrobatics and fighting: what will be shown on stage

Heredis is described as an intense two—hour performance combining acrobatics, urban parkour, choreographic fights and physical stunts – all set against a backdrop of large-scale immersive scenery that moves viewers through different historical eras.

It sounds like a cross between Cirque du Soleil and a blockbuster movie – and that’s no coincidence. The director was Sebastien Soldevila, who has performed the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Sochi (as part of The 7 Fingers troupe) and the Crystal performance for Cirque du Soleil.

The plot of Heredis: an original story about the world of Assassin’s Creed

Heredis has its own plot, not just a cut from the game cutscenes. In the story, a young man goes in search of his father — and at some point receives a mysterious letter that introduces him to the HEREDIS program, launching a journey through the centuries.

The organizers emphasize that it is not necessary to know the game series by heart. The authors promise that the show will be understandable to any viewer — but fans of the series will find a lot of references to their favorite games in it.

Who creates the show: Ubisoft, The 7 Fingers and Behavior Interactive

Heredis is a joint project of four studios at once. The participation of video game developers in a theatrical show looks unexpected, but logical: each participant has something to bring.

  • The 7 Fingers is a leading modern circus troupe known for its large—scale shows around the world
  • La Tribu is a production company with experience in live entertainment
  • Behavior Interactive — the creators of Dead by Daylight, well aware of the narrative and dark atmosphere
  • Decibels Productions — sound and audio production specialists

Assassin’s Creed Beyond Games: From Netflix to Live Shows

Heredis is not the first time the franchise has gone off—screen. Previously, there was a symphony concert tour, now there is a full-fledged live show. Ubisoft’s Director of transmedia, Ayamar Azaiza, commented: Sebastien’s team approached the universe with genuine respect and sensitivity, and the collaboration itself opens up a new way to attract a wide audience.

Nassib El-Husseini, CEO of The 7 Fingers, added that the project unites two worlds — Ubisoft as the world leader in video games and The 7 Fingers as the flagship of the performing arts — in order to push the boundaries between gaming and live culture.

For Ubisoft, this is a deliberate strategy: the Assassin’s Creed franchise has long outgrown the status of just a game. Netflix is already working on the series, the games are coming out on new platforms — and now the live shows. Everything adds up to a full-fledged transmedia expansion.

Additional cities of the tour have not yet been announced, but it is unlikely that the organizers will limit themselves to two venues. We’re watching.
