Diving into the Abyss: Plot plot and ENT
Anima Project Studio has officially announced a large-scale return to the iconic Anima: Beyond Fantasy universe. The new Anima: Song from the Abyss game is a dynamic action game built around a dark aesthetic and a deep narrative.
The story begins aboard an imperial airship, which plunges into absolute chaos after the disappearance of most of the crew. The player will take on the role of Soren, the last surviving knight guarding a powerful artifact of a forgotten civilization. In a desperate attempt to protect the ship from an unknown force, Soren accidentally releases a legendary entity named Noin, trapped inside the relic.
Disaster crashes the ship into a mysterious dimension known as the Abyss. Now the knight has to accept the only offer of salvation from the mysterious Noin. In return, he must help her uncover the secret of the ancient song that destroyed civilization, and find out the true reason for her eternal imprisonment.

Gameplay innovations: Dual system and combat mechanics
The project is aimed at an audience that prefers a symbiosis of anime aesthetics and hardcore role-playing mechanics. Key gameplay Features:
-
The dual protagonist system: Seamlessly switch between two unique characters (Soren and Noin) right during dynamic battles. This opens up a huge tactical scope for creating combo attacks.
-
Real-Time Action & RPG: An intuitive combat system that requires real-time reactions, backed by deep role-playing.
-
Epic Boss Battles: Players will find elaborate encounters ranging from giant wyverns to legendary monsters. Each boss has a unique movset (set of attacks) and requires individual tactics.
-
Customization and crafting: Branched skill trees, unlocking unique abilities for each hero, as well as a weapon creation system with countless combinations of characteristics.
World exploration and social interaction
The developers of Anima Project are making a serious bet on exploring the manually created world. No procedural generation — each location is unique, filled with hidden areas and secrets.
An important part of the gameplay will be the social element. Players will have to interact with interesting NPCs, and decisions, actions, and choice of cues will directly influence the development of connections and the formation of history.
The verdict
The release of Anima: Song from the Abyss, scheduled for 2027, looks like an extremely promising mix of dark fantasy, classic RPG motifs and modern action mechanics. If Anima Project manages to achieve its stated scale while maintaining the pace of storytelling and dense atmosphere, the game is guaranteed to become a new favorite for fans of the genre.
