In the original games, Sem could dodge missiles flying at him by simply taking a step to the right or left. In Double D, which works as a full-fledged side-scroller, verticality comes to the fore. Now the hero has to actively jump, climb, jump off platforms and think about the trajectory of movement as carefully as about the selection of weapons.

And although Sam doesn’t have the usual jetpack, the developers have come up with a more eccentric tool for him — a portable trampoline. With it, you can not only save yourself, but also send opponents into the abyss or directly into a bath of red-hot lava.
