Additionally, owners of the base CoH 3 game will receive a 20% discount. Notably, the release coincides with the major 2.5.0 patch for the main game—hardly a coincidence.

Match structure and gameplay loop: what awaits players in Final Stand?
Survival is the name of the game. There are 12 waves; with each new wave, the enemy forces grow larger, stronger, smarter, and more aggressive. You can play solo or in two-player co-op. At launch, four factions are available: US Forces, Wehrmacht, British Forces, and the German Afrikakorps.
That’s where things get interesting. After each wave, you choose random units or abilities—and they stay with you for the duration of the run. In short: roguelite progression. Between sessions, you unlock permanent upgrades—perks and unique abilities tied to specific factions. Think skill trees, bonuses, and new tactical options. Every playthrough offers a fresh experience.
There are 36 bosses with special abilities and rewards, 18 dynamic events that randomly alter the flow of battle, and 5 maps designed for wave defense. You can choose from 8 difficulty levels—ranging from “Novice” to “I’m not here to suffer, but I’m going to suffer anyway.”

And yes—there’s an endless mode. Twelve waves are for the weak; in endless mode, the waves keep coming until you either break or turn off your computer. Naturally, there will be a leaderboard.

Should you buy Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand? Release date, price, and verdict
July 29. It’s official. Platform: PC (Steam only).
The price hasn’t been announced yet. However, if you own Company of Heroes 3, there is a 20% discount. As far as is known, the game will feature four premium cosmetic packs—one for each faction.
Verdict. Relic Entertainment is clearly experimenting. Company of Heroes has always been about tactics, positioning, and slow, deliberate maneuvers. Final Stand is about speed, chaos, and survival at any cost. It is not an RTS in the classic sense.
The studio appears to have drawn inspiration from its own previous work: the “The Last Stand” mode from Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Retribution, the Ardennes Assault campaign from Company of Heroes 2, and Crucible from Age of Empires IV.
The question isn’t whether it’s a good game. The question is whether the Company of Heroes audience will want to play a roguelite wave-defense game instead of classic RTS battles.
Is it worth buying? If you’re a fan of the series and have grown tired of standard battles—yes, it offers a fresh take on a familiar universe. If you were hoping for Company of Heroes 4—no, this isn’t it. But as a standalone project, it’s interesting—especially in co-op with a friend.
