From the very first minutes, it was clear that the Ludogram team perfectly understood what kind of mix of genres they were creating — the result was so vivid that the game easily made its way into the list of my personal hits of the year.

At the same time, the developers did not focus on the plot at all — and they did the right thing. Here, the story is nothing more than a background, because the main focus is on intense gameplay and survival. Your goal is simple to the point of being obvious: at all costs, get your mobile town hall to the Vault, the only safe area where you can wait out the endless nightmare. But the way there is not a walk: you have to drag the city headquarters along a straight highway, collect resources, clear the road, upgrade the character and improve the town hall itself. All this is happening against the background of continuous skirmishes with hordes of monsters who tirelessly try to close a ring around you.

Gameplay
Gameplay Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road feels like you jump into a car at full speed, slam the door with your elbow and immediately step on the gas — without the right to think. And the longer you play, the more you get the feeling that everything that happens is not just a set of mechanics, but a frenzied rhythm—action game where the car becomes an extension of yourself. The main feature of the game is a symbiosis of speed, chaos and musical structure. Sometimes it seems that the track “breathes” along with the soundtrack: you accelerate — the guitar riff increases, you crush the creatures with a bumper — the drums explode to the beat, you maneuver between obstacles — the bass lines seem to adjust to your rhythm.
