Final Updates Before TI

As we approach the highly anticipated TI, with just over a month remaining, we’re excited to announce the launch of our patch 7.39d waiting room! This space will be dedicated to gathering all the latest news, updates, and intriguing rumors surrounding the event. Stay tuned as we share insights, discussions, and everything you need to know to get ready for the action ahead!

Dota 2 Compendium and Patch Update: Expected Release Dates and What to Know

We’ve grown accustomed to Valve releasing updates in the late hours of Thursday night, a routine that many players anticipate. Releasing the patch earlier allows fans to dive into the exciting new content and adequately prepare for The International. As of now, the most likely timeframe for this update appears to be from July 31 to August 1.

Currently, the Clavision Masters 2025 tournament is taking place, and if Valve is keen on avoiding any disruptions during this crucial event, they may consider delaying the patch until the night of August 7-8. This would help maintain the integrity of the tournament without introducing unexpected changes mid-competition.

On July 29, a significant update was implemented on the Dota test server, affecting 19 versions. Notably, data miner Fay pointed out that “there’s a 90% chance this server is connected to the compendium.” He speculated that the update featuring the Battle Pass or the compendium might be released around the middle of August. If his predictions hold true, we could see the update drop during the night of either August 7-8 or August 14-15.

However, it remains unclear whether the compendium update will launch simultaneously with the patch or be released as a standalone feature later on. Players are eagerly awaiting more information, hoping for an announcement that will clarify the timeline and content of these updates, as both the patch and the compendium are highly anticipated.

Battle Pass and Compendium Update: What Valve Has in Store for 2025

To begin with, strong heroes are likely to face nerfs soon. Expect significant adjustments for Nature’s Prophet, Templar Assassin, Batrider, Naga Siren, and Axe, as their current dominance has made them prime targets for balancing.

Next, we’re eagerly anticipating updates for the compendium or battle pass. In June, commentator Vladimir “Double D” Vylegzhanin mentioned that “Valve is gearing up for a major surprise with a significant update for all the models.” This has generated a lot of excitement in the community. Moreover, Alyk “V-Tune” Vorobey and various other influencers have hinted at the return of the battle pass, sparking further speculation.

Finally, we’re optimistic about Kez making his way into competitive play soon. The upcoming patch represents the last chance for Parrot to enter Captains Mode. If this doesn’t happen, Kez will remain outside the competitive scene for nearly an entire year, as the hero was introduced on November 8th. This timeline will be crucial for his future in the game.
