Team Spirit analyst Denis “sikle” Lerman uncovered a fresh batch of annoying bugs in patch 7.41—this time, Legion Commander and her signature Duel ability were the target. And we’re not talking about cosmetics. The bugs break the ability’s mechanics in key scenarios, and one of them completely handed victory to the opponent.
If Slark is teamed with Legion Commander, his Depth Shroud removes the Duel effect from the enemy. Yes, that’s right—the target calmly walks away, casts spells, and doesn’t even bother, while the Duel’s host continues their pointless pursuit. An absurdity that can turn the tide of a teamfight.
In the opposite situation—Slark versus Legion Commander—Depth Shroud doesn’t affect the Duel. Both heroes remain aggroed, but a visual glitch occurs: one of the duelists may not see Slark’s ally. This is also a poor gift for team interactions.
The picture is finished off by the poor interaction between Duel and Taunts. Axe’s Berserker’s Call, Winter Wyvern’s Winter’s Curse, and Huskar’s Life Break manage to disrupt the Duel’s objective. Legion Commander suddenly shifts aggro to another opponent—thanks, patch, for unexpected tactical surprises. In the pro scene, where every frame counts, such bugs turn into potential tech pauses and scandals.
sikle himself published details on his personal Telegram channel, where he also periodically highlights other bugs in the update. Valve hasn’t announced anything yet. There aren’t even any fixes in the test client. One can only hope that the developers will have time to polish the code before the start of the upcoming Major qualifiers. Otherwise, Legion Commander risks temporarily falling out of the hero pool—picking her now would be pure suicide.
