Bandle City

Maps do not agree on where Bandle City sits, and that is the point. The yordle homeland exists half a step outside the physical world, drifting into Runeterra through gaps that open without warning and close just as quickly. Anyone who wanders in rarely finds the same paths twice, and anyone who wanders out often struggles to explain what they saw, if they can explain it at all.

The yordles who slip through those gaps carry the realm’s contradictions with them. Lulu, the Fae Sorceress, treats reality as something soft enough to reshape on a whim, bending size and shape around herself and her companion as though physics were a suggestion rather than a rule. Yuumi, the Magical Cat, drifts even further from her origins, bonding to a chosen partner rather than to any fixed territory, content to let someone else decide where the pair ends up next. Both suggest a homeland less interested in borders than in whimsy, one that never quite finished deciding what its own rules should be.

Not every export is gentle. Veigar, the Tiny Master of Evil, turned away from that same playful magic and chose to master dark power instead, proving size has nothing to do with menace, only ambition does. Rumble, the Mechanized Menace, answers the world’s condescension toward yordles with welded armor and a short fuse rather than spellwork, a mechanical outlier among a famously magical people who never much cared whether he fit the mold.

Others carry Bandle City’s instincts outward into war and the wilds. Tristana, the Yordle Gunner, left home early to chase a fight she was told she was too small for, and never looked back once she found it. Teemo, the Swift Scout, and Corki, the Daring Bombardier, both turned yordle curiosity into a career spent scouting and flying through territories that would swallow someone twice their size, treating scale as an obstacle rather than a limit.

What ties these figures together is not one trait but a shared origin that never fully explains itself. Bandle City does not export soldiers or scholars the way larger nations do; it exports individuals who took its strangeness in wildly different directions, then went looking for a world large enough to test that strangeness against.
