The Story of Corki
Corki began his life among the yordles of Bandle City, the elusive spirit realm that drifts in and out of the mortal world. At some point he left it behind, drawn instead to Piltover and the wondrous machines humming through its streets. Where Bandle City is fluid and half-real, Piltover is built from gears and ambition, and Corki found in it a home suited to his obsessions: flight, engineering, and, by his own admission, his mustache, not necessarily in that order.
That devotion to flying contraptions became a calling. Corki leads the Screaming Yipsnakes, a squadron of hardened veteran flyers who watch over the skies above the city he adopted as his own. He is described as calm under fire, a pilot who treats crisis as routine and rarely finds a problem that isn’t solved by a well-placed missile barrage.
His fighting style reflects that same philosophy. His passive, Hextech Munitions, converts a portion of his basic attacks into bonus true damage, letting him chip away at armored targets from his cockpit. Phosphorus Bomb lights up an area and reveals hidden units, which makes it useful for scouting brush where an enemy might be waiting. Valkyrie lets him dash a short distance and leave a burning trail behind, and pilots lean on it just as often to escape a losing fight as to force one. Gatling Gun strips away armor and magic resist at close range, and Corki can keep firing his basic attacks the whole time it spins. His ultimate, Missile Barrage, stockpiles explosive rounds that grow more dangerous every third shot; its splash damage can catch enemies even when they are hiding behind minions, though Corki himself is left briefly exposed right after he commits to Valkyrie.
Corki shares his origins with other yordles who have made their own names across Runeterra, including Teemo and Tristana, though settling among Piltover’s engineers took him further from Bandle City than most of them ever traveled.
