The launch day of StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in the Hungarian capital gathered more than 476 thousand people at the peak of views — such figures were shown by the Escharts service.
The maximum number of viewers was accounted for by the confrontation between PARIVISION and The Huns, as well as the Legacy and FlyQuest meeting.
The English-speaking audience gave about 194,000 views of the total peak, while the Russian-language channels attracted 108,000 viewers.
The opening game day lasted for more than 12 hours, due to problems with the official broadcast.
The opening matches of the tournament stalled and continued only after two hours of forced break. Then fnatic and their rivals RED Canids logged on to the server after a delay of an hour and a half, and FaZe Clan and Lynn Vision were able to finish the match only two hours after the broadcast problems appeared.
Already on November 25, the meeting of PARIVISON and M80 at Budapest Major was delayed by more than an hour due to technical reasons. The scheduled start time is November 24 at 23:00 Moscow time.
The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 tournament runs from November 24 to December 14 in Hungary. 32 teams participate. The prize money is 1.25 million dollars.
Prior to that, the organizers of Budapest Major officially apologized to the fans for the technical issues that ruined the broadcasts of the first day of the CS2 competition.
