While we do not have a third trailer yet, Rockstar has unexpectedly shared (albeit via a major leak) a map of the locations we will explore this fall. The game will come to PS5 and PC in November 2026, but for now, let us take a look at what is already officially confirmed. Among dozens of hints and rumors, there are six clearly defined locations—from bustling Vice City to the wild swamps of Grassrivers. So, you will not be bored.

Districts and criminal missions in Vice City

Good old Vice City is back, but not in the 1980s. Times have changed, but the spirit of hedonism remains—Ocean Beach, with its white sand and pastel Art Deco hotels, is instantly recognizable. Compact Little Cuba still buzzes like a beehive, and the Port of Vice City now bears the title of “cruise ship capital of the world”—you can actually see large ships moored at the piers there. Tellingly, this area is just a backdrop: it promises to be the epicenter of missions involving transportation and smuggling. Incidentally, the local racetrack has also been mentioned a couple of times in leaks, but that is another story entirely.

Features of deep-sea diving in Leonida Kis

“The Gateway to Paradise”—that is what this archipelago is called. Indeed, it is easy to forget about business here: boat parties in the bay, dive bars like the Rusty Anchor, and underwater, giant turtles and entire coral gardens. But do not be fooled by the idyll. These waters are home to more than just harmless creatures. Rockstar never tires of reminding everyone: the ocean in Leonida Keys is full of surprises, and not all of them are friendly. Based on leaked footage, deep-sea exploration will become a separate gameplay layer, possibly with survival elements. So, be well-equipped before diving.

Alligator Hunting in Grassrivers Marsh

The Leonida Wetlands are where civilization ends. Stilt houses give way to endless swamps, and the main inhabitants are the famous local alligators. Hunters will be delighted. However, the swamps harbor more serious threats. Lurking beneath the surface are predators that the locals prefer to keep quiet. And these are not just horror stories—one of the leaked documents mentions “anomalous finds” in the depths of the swamps. If you decide to explore the Grassrivers alone, do not forget your weapon. It is best not to venture there without a couple of guns and good transportation.

Besides these three, the leak also mentions other iconic locations: Mount Kalaga National Park with its wild expanses, the Ambrosia industrial zone controlled by bikers, and the decaying Port Gellhorn—a former pride of place now a smuggling hub. They all promise completely different gameplay, from quiet strolls to shootouts in abandoned factories.

Secrets and Dangerous Factions in Mount Kalaga

Leonida’s northern border is neither a resort nor a swamp. Here lies the true wilderness, where civilization quickly fades. Mount Kalaga offers deer and mountain lion hunting, fishing, kayaking, and off-road trails. The nature here is harsh but beautiful. However, the main draw is the people. Deep in the forests, village mystics and paranoid radicals who fled the state long ago hide. They do not take kindly to visitors. If you decide to venture deeper, be prepared for unexpected encounters—and they may not be friendly. Incidentally, leaked materials hint at an abandoned bunker somewhere in these parts.

Drug trafficking and storylines in Port Gellhorn

This port was once the calling card of Leonida. Now it has fallen into disrepair. The Delights Cabaret, the Starlet Motel, empty shopping malls, and abandoned amusement parks are all that is left of its former glory. Tourists are rare here. But the locals have adapted: the new economy is built on drug trafficking, and that is no secret anymore. The trade is in full swing. So if you decide to stroll through Port Gellhorn, keep your hand on your wallet and watch your surroundings. This place does not forgive carelessness. And, apparently, it could be the setting for some of GTA 6’s dirtiest storylines.

Showdown with bikers in the Ambrosia industrial zone

Don’t be fooled by the name—there is little sweet stuff in Ambrosia. Perhaps the produce of the Allied Crystal sugar refinery, which feeds the entire area. It is a typical American industrial enclave: old factories, the smell of fuel oil, and iron gates. The local bikers control the area. They are the bosses here; they make the rules. Violating them is not recommended—the consequences will be dire. These are not just words: leaked footage shows shootouts and showdowns right outside the factory buildings. Ambrosia promises to become a hot spot for those who enjoy risk and dirty dealing.

State of Leonidas Open World and Biome Guide

Rockstar Games is changing the rules of the game. Apparently, the Leonidas state map in GTA 6 will no longer be a backdrop for criminal showdowns and cop chases. The developers were clearly inspired by the success of Red Dead Redemption 2 and are creating a vibrant ecosystem where an outdoor foray becomes a standalone adventure with deep mechanics. After analyzing the available information, it becomes clear that each region will have a unique specialization. The map is effectively divided into thematic biomes, forcing the player to constantly travel for different gameplay experiences.

Tracking cougars and deer in the woods

It looks like hunting enthusiasts will have to split their time between two completely opposite locations. In the swampy Grassrivers, alligators will be the key target—RDR2 fans will instantly recognize the oppressive and dangerous atmosphere of the Bayi Nwa swamps. In the mangroves, it is easy to turn from hunter to hunted. Further north, in the forested areas of Mount Kalaga, gameplay will shift to the classic style of tracking cougars and deer along mountain trails. A traditional survival simulator in the studio’s best traditions.

Exploration of sunken ships

Deep-sea exploration in GTA 6 will reach a whole new level, with the Leonida Keys Archipelago serving as the main hub. Forget the shallow-sea diving of GTA V—leaks point to a full-fledged deep-sea exploration mode. Players will encounter coral gardens, giant sea turtles, and shipwrecks. Diving will also gain a hardcore twist: you will need to manage your pressure, oxygen levels, and aggressive sharks.

A table of all confirmed activities in the game

Activity Where to Find on the Map What Awaits the Player in the Biome Verification Status
Hunting Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga Crocodiles in swamps, predators and deer in dense woods Officially confirmed by Rockstar
Diving Leonida Keys Reefs, shipwrecks, survival mechanics Announced and supported by leaks
Fishing Leonida Keys, Mount Kalaga Saltwater and freshwater fishing Officially confirmed by Rockstar
Kayaking / Rafting Mount Kalaga River rafting and quiet secluded routes Officially confirmed by Rockstar
Off-roading Mount Kalaga, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia Dirt bikes, muddy off-road routes, races Officially confirmed by Rockstar

Fishing and kayaking in freshwater rivers

Fishing promises to be one of the most popular activities. Fishing is available both in the saltwater Leonida Keys in the south and in the freshwater rivers of Mount Kalaga in the north. There, in the northern wilderness, the developers have also laid out kayaking routes. The local wild rivers are ideal for paddling and kayaking, far from the bustle of highways and big cities. A great way to lose weight or catch your breath between missions.

Extreme off-road riding on dirt bikes

Several zones have been designated for adrenaline junkies and motorbike enthusiasts. Port Gellhorn emphasizes dirt bikes—the official description directly encourages you to hop in the saddle and hold on to your wallet. A true dirt bike paradise. For a dose of liquid mud and rugged off-roading, head to the rugged terrain of Mount Kalaga in a jeep. Ambrosia, with its industrial landscapes, will also add its own flavor, but off-road gamers should be wary there—the area is heavily occupied by local biker gangs who do not take kindly to outsiders.

For now, that is all that is officially confirmed. But rumors are growing with each passing week, and Rockstar, as usual, is keeping quiet. November 2026 is upon us, and I am almost certain we will see more trailers, and maybe even a new gameplay video. Stay tuned.
