PUBG Mobile developers have officially set the release date for update 4.6 – the patch will hit live servers on September 9, 2026. The test client is already being actively tested by the community, and the main theme of the season is clearly visible. Players can expect a dark, gothic setting with new mechanics, reworked locations, and a ton of PvE enemies. While some details may still be refined at launch, the final list of new features is already impressive.

New Erangel Event and Reworked Iconic Locations

The patch’s main attraction will be the themed Bloodline Awakening mode. The developers have significantly reworked the maps: the familiar Pochinki and Rozhok will be immersed in a dark aesthetic. Blood crystals, gargoyle statues, and special zones with increased undead activity have appeared on the streets.

The firefights will be interspersed with monsters:

  • Bloodwalker – a dangerous elite melee opponent. It loves to drain health and deftly dodges shots.
  • Nightbat – a nimble flying creature that attacks from the air with sonic waves.
  • Vampire Elder – a full-fledged boss. It buffs allied mobs with magical orbs.

Along with this, Hunter’s Guild quests will begin in the game. Partners will be able to form a “Blood Pact,” guaranteeing shared healing and quick teleportation to each other. The arsenal will also include a silver chain for damage and protection, twilight bat wings for flight and scanning, and blood crystal barriers for blocking doorways and windows.

Vampire Revenge and a Silent Water Event

The death mechanics have received an interesting rework. After dying in the event mode, the player isn’t sent straight to the lobby, but is temporarily transformed into a vampire. In this form, the character gains enhanced stats, claws, blood sense, and the ability to absorb. It’s a great opportunity to take revenge on those who have wronged them (yes, it’s similar to the classic zombie mode, but with its own nuances).

Stealth fans also have a surprise in store: the legendary water event is returning. In addition, an inflatable boat will be rolled out. It easily fits in your inventory and deploys in a couple of seconds on land or water. You’ll have to row it with oars, but without the unnecessary noise of the motor. A single soldier can reach speeds of around 20-25 km/h, while a full squad can reach speeds of 50-60 km/h. It’s an ideal choice for water-based pressure zone rotations.

Damage figures in combat and the legendary Kar98k “Fang”

The biggest joy for precision shooting fans is the return of the iconic Kar98k “Fang.” The rifle’s exact spawn points are still being kept secret, but a unique hit effect has already been spotted in the test client. This skin has long been a coveted trophy among snipers.

Furthermore, the interface will be updated with a useful feature: damage display. Now, with each hit on an enemy, the exact damage figures will appear above them. Estimating an enemy’s remaining HP at long range will be much easier.

Cosmetics and skins: what the developers will bring back

Based on the results of a March audience survey, the developers are preparing a selection of rare skins for return. Expect the “Inferno Racer” helmet and the popular “Blood Demon” suit to appear in 4.6. The Honor set, “Twilight Scorpion,” is also mentioned, featuring a general theme for the season.

General Balance Changes and World of Wonder Mode

The developers haven’t forgotten about the technical side of things either. The patch will bring firearm rebalancing (primarily affecting the 7.62mm caliber), updates to Metro Royale, tweaks to the classic mode, and expanded tools in World of Wonder. The beta makes it clear: the developers are focusing on mobility and new building defense options.

Update 4.6 looks like a well-rounded mix of nostalgic features (like the return of the Fang and boating) and fresh event content. The Horn will clearly become the hottest spot on the map. The final release is scheduled for September 9, 2026—we’re waiting!
