Blizzard continues to expand the roster of the rebooted Overwatch. Today, they revealed an animated teaser of Shion, the 52nd hero, who has already been dubbed “the most fearsome elder of the Hashimoto clan.” And these aren’t just empty words.
Shion is an omnic with an eerily lifelike human face. But the illusion is shattered as soon as she begins to speak: the desync between her mouth and her voice module reveals her true nature. In the teaser, the heroine brutally deals with Sojourn, using dual pistols and a knife. She’s a damage dealer (Damage), so aggressive gamers should enjoy her.

What can Elder Hashimoto do?
Gameplay hints include dual pistols, sharp sideways dashes, and the ability to charge forward, causing a whirlwind of damage. For now, these are just hints—a full gameplay demo will be released soon. Incidentally, a new map will be added in Japan along with Shion. The connection is logical: the Hashimoto clan and the Japanese setting.
When to try it?
You’ll be able to try out the new content as early as June 16th. The third season, called Into the Tiger’s Den, starts on the same day. So now’s the perfect time to mark your calendars.
