The famous dog of the John Wick franchise hitman has been captured, and rescuing him will be the main challenge for those seeking rare loot in Chapter 7 of Season 3. The developers haven’t simply introduced a cosmetic item; they’ve made it a battle to obtain—the pet is awarded for completing a full combat activity.
We’ll explore where to fly to on the map, how to survive a close firefight with bots, and which styles for the new companion are already available in your inventory.

Where to find John Wick’s dog in Fortnite?
The hidden quest is tied to a specific location, so running around the island haphazardly is pointless. Immediately after disembarking from the Battle Bus, head for Sinister Strip—that’s where the hostage is being held. Before storming the main building, be sure to assemble a starting loadout of weapons and max out your shields (fortunately, there are plenty of supplies in the area). Venturing inside without proper gear is a questionable decision, as there’s a substantial convoy on duty. Found some guns? Now head to the huge mansion with majestic fountains right in front. We need the central building.
How to clear out the guards and free your companion?
The pet is locked on the first floor, but the game won’t let you approach it calmly. The cage is under constant surveillance by hostile NPCs, who will open fire as soon as they spot your character.

The fight will take place at extremely close range, so keep the following in mind:

First wave: Three bots will jump out at you first. Deal with them as aggressively as possible.

Second wave: As soon as the first three are down, the game will immediately spawn reinforcements—these enemies fire very quickly and don’t give you time to catch your breath.
Weapon Selection: The ideal setup for clearing this room is rapid-fire submachine guns and shotguns for instant point-blank damage.
Once the room is cleared of bots, the lock on the cage will unlock. But simply opening the door isn’t enough—to officially claim the dog as your companion, approach it and hold down the interaction button to pet it. Only after this ritual (and with the tacit consent of Baba Yaga herself) will the quest be completed and the pet will be yours.
Styles and rewards for leveling up John Wick’s pet
After completing the match, the rescued dog will appear in the lobby. Unlike some other companions in Fortnite, it doesn’t offer full customization, but Epic Games has still left room for customization. Players can remove or attach its collar as they wish, and choose between its default appearance and alternate skins. Initially, two variants are available: the classic dog look and the stylized “Pen and Ink” variant. The remaining content will have to be earned through special companion quests—progress points are awarded for playing matches with the pet equipped.
