Sprites have become the main feature of Fortnite: Chapter 7 Season 3, so understanding their mechanics is essential for anyone looking to take the top spot. The central element of the new system is Sprite Pollen—a unique in-game currency in Epic Games’ Battle Royale. It can be used to farm the Battle Pass, upgrade weapons, and rescue lost creatures. Apparently, without this pollen, there’s simply nothing to do in the current meta.

Currency Farming: How to Get Sprite Pollen in Fortnite?
The main source of this resource is Extraction Points scattered across the map of Epic Games’ island action game. Immediately after disembarking from the Battle Bus, look for these locations on your radar.

The extraction process is as follows:
-
Find a special terminal at an Extraction Point and activate it.
-
Hold the position for about 30 seconds—that’s how long it takes for an Extraction Container to arrive.
-
We dump all the Sprites accumulated in our inventory inside (the easiest way to fill your pockets with duplicates is by searching chests or collecting loot from eliminated enemies).
For each Sprite extracted, the game awards the coveted currency. Incidentally, the active Sprite, the one equipped on your character at the time of activation, also awards Pollen.
Sprite Pollen Shop: How to Use Sprite Pollen in Fortnite?
You can spend your accumulated loot where you earned it. Each Extraction Point has a “Sprite Pollen Services” vending machine. It offers a wide variety of items, from simple account boosts to tactical advantages right in the middle of a battle.
What exactly is sold for Sprite Pollen in Fortnite and how much does it cost:
-
20,000 XP (Mythical Item) – Price: 1,000 Pollen. Instantly increases XP to your account. It’s worth noting the strict limit—purchases are only available once per day, and the timer resets daily at 4:00 PM (Moscow time).
-
Portable Extractor (Legendary item) — Price: 2,000 Pollen. Allows you to take your equipped Sprite back to the lobby directly, bypassing the stationary container. It’s useful, but the same limit applies: one purchase per day, reset at 4:00 PM (Moscow time).
-
Weapon Upgrade — Price: 500 Pollen. A standard weapon upgrade along the rarity chain (Uncommon > Rare > Epic > Legendary). The price increases proportionally with the upgrade level.
-
Sprite Finder — Price: 100 Pollen. Scans the area and highlights creature nests and Sprite Chests on the map. A risky investment: if no one is within range, resources will disappear.
-
Sprite Summoning – Cost: 2,000 Pollen. This option works outside of a match. From the “Sprites” main menu in the Epic Games lobby, you can purchase any pet you left on the battlefield (for example, if you were eliminated or had to discard it for other loot).
One final important detail: Sprite Pollen is permanently bound to your profile. Unlike standard Fortnite gold bars, this resource does not expire upon death or exiting the main menu. It seems Epic Games is seriously considering getting the community hooked on long-term grinding.
