Crimson Desert: To catch Ulzok alive without a fight with fifty cultists, you need a cunning plan. And there it is — a disguise. With her, St. Galsia’s Hospital will accept you as one of its own, and you can steal the target quietly. We’re telling you how to do it.

Where to find Ulzok in Crimson Desert and how to start the quest
The “Large Reward” quest comes after completing the “Face on the Reward Announcement” task, where Yann from Camp Greymane explains the mechanics of bounty hunting. Everything is simple: driving, talking, a couple of formalities. But then it’s more fun.
You are assigned to go to St. Galsia’s Hospital and track down the fugitive Ulzok. The trouble is, the local guards don’t like outsiders. None at all. The hospital is a closed cult: one’s own to one’s own, a stranger will be chopped into cabbage right at the gate. And if you go straight ahead with a sword, the guards will run away by the dozens. Then Ulzok will either run away or be killed in the confusion—and we need him alive.

How do I get a Priest’s kit for stealthy passage
To capture the target without a fight, you will have to merge with the crowd of soldiers. A fancy dress is given in two ways:
-
Buy it during the “Familiar Faces” quest (this is still in the second chapter).
-
Or take off the uniform of the murdered Hospital guard. Yes, it works.
In disguise, you calmly walk through the patrols, find Ulzok — and grab him before anyone understands. No fight with the hospital. By the way, Ulzok himself is not particularly cunning — he sits in the building. The whole difficulty lies in getting there.

What’s the result: the quest “Large reward” is completed in five minutes, if you do not hack from the shoulder. Apparently, the developers deliberately left this loophole — for those who do not want to take out the whole Hospital. And that’s right. Why the extra hemorrhoids?
Instructions for the capture of Ulzok in the St. Galsia Hospital
Disguise is a complete set. The hat, vestments, cloak and leather shoes of the priest of St. Galsius. Put them all on at once. Miss at least one detail — the soldiers will instantly realize that you are an outsider, and then the quiet hunt will turn into a bloodbath. And one more thing: even in a perfect suit, you can’t get through the main gate — you need a pass. Fortunately, a stone wall can be scaled anywhere. Get in and go inside.

Ulzok’s location on the map and the search for the green orc
Once in the Hospital, move towards the Crossroads (see the screenshot above). The road soon splits from the main gate: one path leads up the hill, the other straight ahead. You need a hill. That’s where Ulzok usually wanders.
Go up and wander around the courtyard between the buildings. Keep an eye on the minimap — as soon as the “Bounty Notification” icon appears, it means you’re close. Ulzok is a green orc with an eye patch. He’s not a fighter. Even if he notices you, he won’t get into a fight, but will try to escape.

By the way, there is a bug: the orc may not wake up. Then quickly rewind to any Gate of the Abyss and come back. The location will restart and the target will appear.
How do I bind and deliver Ulzok to the Detective Department
When Ulzok runs, catch up and knock him to the ground. A couple of punches until he gives up. Then tie it up. And here’s the funny thing: in disguise, the guards are watching squaw fingers as you beat up the fugitive. Even in front of the soldiers, no one will interfere.
Drag the bound orc onto a horse, ride out through the main gate and tell the Detective Department (marked on the map). Hand over to the guards — the quest is closed, the silver is in your pocket. Not a bad job for one evening, right?

Fixing bugs and problems in the quest is a big reward
Although the task is short, it is insidious — this is where Crimson Desert throws unpleasant surprises at players that can bury progress. If something went wrong, do not rush to panic. We are figuring out how to treat the most “popular” sores of this stage.
Ulzok did not appear on the hill: Ways to reboot NPCs
A classic of the genre: you arrive at a hill, and there is no orc, nor the coveted “Bounty Notification” icon on the map. Emptiness. This is usually due to the loading curve of NPCs when switching between game zones. The solution is surprisingly easy: do not stand and wait for a miracle. Run away to any nearest Abyss Gate at such a distance that the location is completely unloaded from memory, and then return. Ulzok should appear. In particularly advanced cases, the good old relog helps — go to the main menu and log in to the game again.
Resetting Carl’s quest and resurrecting the target for silver
It is a common mistake for those who are used to solving problems by brute force. If you didn’t calculate the damage and accidentally sent the poor guy to another world, you won’t be able to lift his body like a regular loot. But there are a couple of life hacks. First, try to run away from the Hospital — sometimes an NPC teleports to the primary spawn point.
If the distance magic didn’t work, I’d have to bow to Karl at Wolf Hill Camp. After the latest patch 1.00.03, life has become easier: now the “Item Recovery” option (which actually resets the task flag) costs only 1 silver coin instead of 10. Carl will not resurrect your target, but he will allow you to start the hunt from scratch.
Important tip: Put your weapon away before engaging in a takeover. Three or four punches and the orc is ready to give up. Don’t turn the capture into a bloodbath.
Why does the Ulzok disappear when transported by horse
You take the bound prisoner to Hernanda’s Detective Department, enter the area of another assignment, and bang, Ulzok disappears into thin air. This is not exactly a bug, but rather a conflict of triggers: the game forcibly “cleans” unnecessary objects when a new event is activated. In order not to step on this rake, close all active markers of neighboring quests in the log before loading the carcass onto the horse. And ride strictly in a straight line, don’t tempt fate by taking shortcuts through the bandit camps.
Another headache is the disguise at the gate. If the guards are angry at you, despite the cassock, check your inventory. In Crimson Desert, the set must be complete. Disguise will only work if you are wearing all four items from the set of the priest of St. Galsius: hat, vestments, cloak and leather shoes. It is enough to leave the “wrong” boots on the character, and the infiltration plan will go to waste.
