Publisher MicroProse, along with developers Monte Gallo, have confirmed the release date of the stylish action game Better Than Dead. The game will be available on PC (Steam version) on May 12th.
This is a deeply personal story of revenge. The main character is a girl who was broken, filmed, and tried to be destroyed. Now she’s back. With a gun, a body camera, and a clear plan.

What kind of beast is this?
Better Than Dead is a hardcore first-person shooter with a chest-mounted camera. The action takes place in a photorealistic Hong Kong—neon restaurants, dark alleys, rooftops of dive bars, and disreputable nightclubs. The style is a homage to Hong Kong action films of the 80s and 90s.

Levels are played linearly—no fluff or open worlds. Just objectives, shootouts, and the fight for new leads as the story unfolds. Every battle is fast-paced: miss and you die. Realistic bullets and quick reactions are everything here. The pace is so intense that you won’t be able to catch your breath.
Camera Trick
The main mechanic is a body camera that records everything: every step, every shot, every death. The goal is not just to survive, but to find those who broke you and show the world how you dealt with them. Saving the other girls isn’t enough anymore.
