NiKo received the tenth MVP award in his career
Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač’s, better known in the CS2 world as NiKo, has been officially recognized as the most valuable participant in the last BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 — HLTV has already secured this status for him. Despite the fact that his team Falcons team lost offensively in the decisive battle, Kovač himself showed an incredible level — an average rating of 1.20 made him the undisputed leader among all those who reached the finals.
Nikola performed the most powerful performance in the battle against Team Vitality — on the third map, his rating soared to 2.18 with a crazy difference of frags and deaths of +12. In the race for the individual trophy, he actually left behind such monsters as Ilya m0NESY Osipov, whose score froze at 1.17, as well as Emil nota Moskvitin and Jami Jame Ali — they have 1.14 and 1.10, respectively. Now Kovač’s has exactly ten MVP medals in his personal collection, which is a serious number, really.
It’s worth remembering that NiKo joined the ranks of Team Falcons back in January 2025 — since then, the Falcons have stormed the finals of major events seven times. However, only one ended in triumph — PGL Bucharest 2025. As for the BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 itself, the main part of the tournament was held in Malta from January 22 to January 25 — the teams, by the way, were hacked in LAN format for a prize pool of $452,5 thousand. In the main match, Team Falcons flew away from PARIVISION with a score of 0:3 — an unexpected and rather painful ending for a team of this level.
