The FACEIT platform told how it will catch cheaters and smurfs.
The announcement was made recently on the company’s social media. On the eve of the start of FACEIT Season 7, the team made an extensive and serious update: they added additional verification, launched Premium Match and upgraded the complaints system. The main feature is the new Selfie Re-Check protection. If the verified account starts to look strange, the owner will have to send a fresh selfie. According to the creators, account trading will lose its meaning after that.
Checks have also become tougher on a person’s biometric data. Players with high ELO can be asked to confirm their profile history via video link by swinging their face to the right, swinging up and down for full control. In special cases, even play a match under the supervision of a moderator.
Previously, everyone was allowed into Premium Super Match with a subscription after 30 games, even without verification. Now the requirements have increased: you need both a subscription and verification, plus from 50 to 600 matches under your belt (depending on the level). The Veteran-Only Matching system has also been expanded – now “veterans” with a subscription can play 5 by 5 in Standard and Super Match.
Complaints will now be reported in more detail: when they were received, what they decided, and when they were closed. The reporting interface has been completely redesigned and is available on match pages and profiles. The old “FBI” icon was removed, and the disparate forms were combined. You can select specific rounds, attach screenshots or videos, and write a comment. High-quality reports will be processed first.
FACEIT Season 7 starts on November 19 at 20:00 Moscow time. The reset of ELO points for level 10 will take place on the same day, but earlier at 18:00.
