The hat is sold by the saddler in Demeniss, right before the north gate. But you can’t just buy it—first, reach +100 Trust with Fiona. Gift her ore, materials, and books, and she’ll change her mind. The price is 37.18 silver coins. It’s cheap, considering the hat also protects against electric shock.

Grand Prix win requirements explained
This one’s going to be a bit of a challenge. The suit is awarded for winning the “Dark Horse” Grand Prix on the Golden Plains in Demenisse. Approach the host, select “Race,” and off you go. A caveat: you need to win four times in a row. Yes, that’s right. After your fourth win, the Grand Prix is yours, and the suit is your reward. A good incentive to learn how to ride a horse.

How to unlock hidden ranch shop
The rarest item. The cloak is sold in the underground shop at Windsaddle Ranch (east of the Hill of No Return). But first, you need to raise your trust with Sunmor to +100. He likes expensive gifts: x10 Ruby Garnet (or Epiodt, diamonds, or azurite—the choice is yours). After that, the cloak will become available for 76.88 silver coins. It’s a bit pricey, but frost isn’t a problem, and the horse grows faster.

Where to start faction quest
The gloves are a reward for the faction quest “Race to Hernanda” for House Serkis. Look for him north of the Camp on Wolf Hill, near Blooming Forest Ranch. The goal is simple: outrun a haughty noblewoman and her steed. Win and you receive gloves. The noblewoman, by the way, is a good rider, so get your steed ready.

The boots are awarded for another faction quest, “Race at the Horse Fair,” for House Byron in Demeniss. Start the conversation with the apprentice rider at the fair (landmark: north of the “n” in the town’s name on the map). The objective is simply to outrun this apprentice. It sounds easy, but his horse is fast. Make sure yours won’t let you down.
