The OverActive Media team in the Call of Duty League (CDL) is now called Toronto KOI, not Toronto Ultra.

The company is rebranding itself so that all its teams are under one well-promoted brand.

The Call of Duty team is now part of KOI, which already has teams for League of Legends and other games. Now they have one big platform.

Interestingly, there won’t be any old teams left in CDL 2026 after that. The time of the first teams in the league is over.

The head of OverActive Media, Adam Adamow, said that being a part of KOI is part of something bigger. He believes that the brand will help the Call of Duty team in Toronto, and this is good for fans, players, partners, and the entire esports community. They are building not just a team, but a platform that will grow and benefit in the future.

To celebrate this event, on October 23, 2025, the team threw a party and showed off their new uniforms for the 2026 season.

Further CDL rebrandings

In December, Toronto KOI plans to release its first collection of products for fans. The changes and metamorphoses in the league continue. Toronto KOI is the third team to change its name before the seventh season of Black Ops. Let’s recall that in September, Team Falcons moved from Las Vegas to Riyadh, and in October, Minnesota Rokkr became G2 Minnesota.

It looks like that’s not all. Gentle Mates are hinting at an imminent move by removing the mention of Los Angeles from their social networks. It is still unclear where they will go in 2026.

So next season will be a new stage of esports life for CDL. Approaching the sixth season, the league clearly shows that it is developing, progressing and updating.
