In the end, she not only ends up in the same bed with the hero, but also says a phrase that is hard to forget: “Show me your cyber love!” The visual style of the game is pure neon cyberpunk with purple flashes. The screensavers are stylized as 8-bit games, and the headphones sound like synth electronics in the spirit of the 80s. Despite the parody mood, Blood Dragon feels like a standalone game, not just an add-on. It is based on the same Far Cry 3 – with an open world in which something is always happening, the need to clear enemy outposts, additional missions, a leveling system and the ability to move on everything that comes to hand – from jeeps and boats to hang gliders. But the main thing is the atmosphere. Even in the midst of the wildest firefight, it’s hard not to smile. When Rex rips the hearts of his enemies with the phrase “he put his heart into his work” or hears the lab’s artificial intelligence bickering with its owner, and then calmly announces over the loudspeaker that all the cyber soldiers will explode if you just shout the word “grenade” – how can you not laugh?

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a game that is not afraid to be absurd, and that’s its charm.

And only in the finale, Blood Dragon finally drops its mask and stops pretending to be a serious game. Instead, it simply invites us to forget about everything and have a good time. To the epic heroic melody, Rex goes through a crash course in super-warrior to master the power of the “Death Ray”, after which a crazy, bloody carnival begins. First, he destroys dozens of enemies per second, and then saddles his personal battle dragon – it shoots lasers from its eyes at enemy helicopters and asks with a grin: “Well, is it cool to ride?” And at this moment you want to exclaim: “Yes! It’s damn cool!” Thanks to the developers not only for this holiday of unbridled fun, but also for the opportunity to return to a carefree childhood for a few hours.
