Review of the Kilowatt case, new Kukri knife and Ambush stickers
As previously mentioned, a new update for CS2 was rolled out last night, and Valve once again inundated players with a fresh wave of in-game cosmetics. CS2 has finally welcomed its inaugural weapon crate, featuring a diverse selection of new knives, and, of course, the ever-present stickers that have become a staple in the game. The developers continue to prioritize enhancing the visual experience and providing players with a multitude of options for personalizing their gameplay.
Five months after the release of CS2, the developers happily introduced the long-awaited first case into the game, called Kilowatt. In this case, players will find as many as 17 unique skins, including the first skin for the Zeus x27, as well as an exciting new knife – the Kukri. Let’s take a look at all the items that await us in this exciting new chest in CS2.

NEW KILOWATT CASE
It’s hard to believe, but Valve took over 360 days, which is nearly a year, to add a new crate with skins to their shooter game. Nonetheless, the community was buzzing with excitement and eagerly started opening the Kilowatt case, exploring the new in-game skins.
Skins in the Kilowatt case:
- AK-47 | Inheritance (Secret)
- AWP | Chrome Cannon (Covert)
- USP-S | Jawbreaker (Classified)
- Zeus x27 | Olympus (Classified)
- M4A1-S | Black Lotus (Classified)
- Sawed-Off | Analog Input (Prohibited)
- MP7 | Just Smile (Forbidden)
- Five-Seven | Hybrid (Prohibited)

- SSG 08| Dezastre (Army)

From our perspective, the contents of the case, as always, varied in taste and preference. The common items in shades of blue seemed unremarkable and mundane. Naturally, the higher the rarity of a skin, the more visually appealing it appeared. In addition to the new knife, we would like to highlight the following items that truly stood out for their beauty and intrigue:
- AK-47 | Inheritance (Secret)
- AWP | Chrome Cannon (Covert)
- USP-S | Jawbreaker (Classified)
- Zeus x27 | Olympus (Classified)
- M4A1-S | Black Lotus (Classified)
- Glock-18 | Block-18 (Forbidden)
NEW KUKRI KNIFE
The roster of knives and skins in Counter-Strike continues to expand with each passing year, and now, in early 2024, users have witnessed another impressive addition from the developers. Indeed, CS2 has introduced its first-ever knife, the Kukri.
The Kukri knife bears a resemblance to a cross between the Huntsman and Navaja, featuring a slightly curved blade and a gleaming surface that looks stunning under the lighting in CS2. We caught a glimpse of the Kukri knife back in March 2023, but with the “A Call to Arms” update, it has finally made its debut and become available in Valve’s renowned shooter.
Here is the complete list of skins for the Kukri knife in CS2:
- Forest DDPAT
- Night Stripe
- Safari Mesh
- Scorched
- Slaughter
- Stained
- Urban Masked
- Vanilla
- Blue Steel
- Boreal Forest
- Case Hardened
- Crimson Web
- Fade
As we can see, all the Kukri knife skins bring us back to the roots, featuring the legendary patterns from the early knives in CS:GO. It’s no wonder the developers named this update reminiscent of the Arms Deal – the first CS:GO update to introduce these knife skins.
Please note that some of the above skins are:
- Slaughter
- Case Hardened
- Crimson Web
- Fade
These knife skins can feature various rare patterns that can skyrocket the value of your item (if you’re lucky enough) up to a million dollars. It’s crucial to thoroughly inspect your CS2 knife before purchasing or selling it.
Ambush sticker capsule
In the new sticker capsule, which Valve also added and named Ambush, they made full use of the capabilities of their new game engine.
The capsule features space for 21 stickers, all sourced from the Steam Workshop, meaning they were created by regular platform users. Upon closer examination, we can observe the following classifications:
- Regular stickers
- Glitter
- Holo (holographic)
- Foil (metal)
- Lenticular (3D) stickers
