PPhenomenal Evil Power
Veigar is the greatest Evil to ever strike at the hearts of Runeterra - and he's only getting bigger! Striking an enemy Champion with a spell or scoring a takedown grants Veigar permanently increased Ability Power.
the Tiny Master of Evil
Veigar is a scaling burst mage for the mid lane whose entire game plan is written into his passive, Phenomenal Evil Power: every spell that strikes an enemy champion and every takedown grants permanently increased Ability Power, with no cap. Where most champions plateau, Veigar keeps growing, and a long game turns him into the highest-AP threat on the map. With a magic rating of 10 and minimal physical presence, he is a pure spellcaster in the most literal sense.
His farming tool doubles as a stacking engine. Baleful Strike pierces the first two enemies hit, and killing units with it grants bonus ability power on top of the passive, so disciplined last-hitting compounds his scaling. Dark Matter drops a delayed mass of damage on a target location, and its cooldown shortens as Phenomenal Evil stacks accumulate — late-game Veigar can rain it almost continuously. The delay makes it a prediction tool, which is where Event Horizon comes in: a cage that stuns anything crossing its edge, setting up guaranteed Dark Matter hits and protecting Veigar from divers. Primordial Burst finishes the combo, a single-target nuke that deals more damage the lower the victim’s health, capable of deleting enemy carries in one cast.
Veigar offers a team unmatched late-game burst and reliable area lockdown, but pays for it with short range, no mobility, and a vulnerable early game where his stacks are still small. He is ideal for patient players who enjoy delayed gratification: survive the lane, hit every cage, and eventually one button decides fights.
