Kai'Sa's basic attacks stack Plasma, dealing increasing bonus magic damage. Allies' immobilizing effects help stack Plasma. Additionally, Kai'Sa's item purchases upgrade her basic spells to have more powerful properties.
Daughter of the Void
Kai’Sa occupies an unusual space among marksmen: a bot lane carry (with occasional mid lane appearances) whose build path literally reshapes her abilities. Her passive, Second Skin, stacks Plasma on targets with basic attacks — detonating for heavy bonus magic damage at full stacks — and allied immobilizing effects add stacks too, making her especially strong alongside crowd-control supports. The same passive upgrades her Q, W and E into evolved Living Weapon versions once her item stats cross the required thresholds.
Icathian Rain fires a swarm of homing missiles that shred isolated targets, and its evolution adds even more missiles. Void Seeker is a long-range skillshot that applies Plasma stacks from afar, evolving to apply more marks and refund cooldown on champion hits. Supercharge converts movement speed into a burst of attack speed and, once evolved, grants brief invisibility — a reposition tool most marksmen simply do not have.
Killer Instinct ties it together: a long dash toward a marked enemy champion that lets Kai’Sa follow engages, dodge key spells, or dive a backline. The result is a marksman who can play like a scaling ADC in teamfights or flank like an assassin when evolutions come online, at the cost of a relatively short 525 attack range that forces careful spacing.
Kai’Sa suits players who like flexible builds and earning aggression through item breakpoints, contributing sustained mixed damage plus the rare ability to dive herself.
