PRelentless Assault
Jax's consecutive basic attacks continuously increase his Attack Speed.
Grandmaster at Arms
Jax is the archetypal scaling duelist of top lane: a melee fighter whose entire kit exists to win extended one-on-one exchanges harder the longer they last. Relentless Assault, his passive, ramps his attack speed with every consecutive basic attack, so the opening seconds of a fight are his weakest and every swing after that gets faster. His unusual 7/10 attack and 7/10 magic split reflects a kit that deals both physical and magic damage, letting him build flexibly and remain hard to itemize against.
His trading pattern is compact and deadly. Leap Strike closes the gap to any unit — enemy, ally, or ward — which also makes it a surprisingly versatile escape. Empower charges his next attack with bonus damage and is usually buffered into the leap for instant burst. The centerpiece is Counter Strike: Jax dodges all incoming basic attacks for a short duration, then retaliates with a stun on everyone around him. Against auto-attack-reliant champions this ability can nullify an entire trade.
His ultimate, Grandmaster-at-Arms, passively adds magic damage to every third consecutive attack and can be activated to damage nearby enemies while granting a large chunk of armor and magic resist — the button that lets him dive into several opponents and walk out alive. Jax offers his team a side-lane threat that demands answers, split-push pressure, and a late game where he beats nearly any champion in a duel. He suits patient players who accept a weaker early game in exchange for becoming the win condition themselves, all at a manageable 5/10 difficulty.
PJax's consecutive basic attacks continuously increase his Attack Speed.
QJax leaps toward a unit. If they are an enemy, he strikes them with his weapon.
WJax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to deal additional damage.
EJax's combat prowess allows him to dodge all incoming attacks for a short duration and then quickly counterattack, stunning all surrounding enemies.
REvery third consecutive attack deals additional Magic Damage. Additionally, Jax can activate this ability to deal damage around himself and strengthen his resolve, increasing his Armor and Magic Resist for a short duration.
