In the open world of Neverness to Everness, you can do more than just fight monsters and explore city blocks. You can also… well, “borrow” small items straight from the display cases. We’re talking bags, bags of chips, and even comically oversized collectible figurines—all of these items are available in convenience stores and DSD Pop locations. The key is to know a few tricks to avoid being caught.

How to steal items from NTE stores without getting caught?

Enter any DSD Pop (let’s take a toy store, for example). Look for items outlined in red—that’s your target. Pick up an item, and a minigame will start. You need to press buttons without attracting unnecessary attention. It’s all pretty straightforward: an anxious and tense demeanor attracts the cashier’s attention, while a confident and calm demeanor reduces suspicion.

Choose the most relaxed answers possible. Don’t see a suitable option? Throw the item back on the shelf and try again—the game doesn’t penalize repeat attempts.

The Best Escape Strategy After a Robbery in DSD Pop

When you successfully steal an item, a smiley face with horns lights up above your head. You only have a few seconds before the clerk notices the item is missing. Sure, they’ll make you pay later—they won’t send you to jail, but where’s the fun in that?

So the logic is simple: choose items close to the exit. Before stealing, position yourself so you can dash for the door in one go.

A secret way to trick a seller in Neverness to Everness

Notice the shop assistant staring at their phone? They won’t see you, even if you’re right in front of them. Take advantage of this opportunity to run out of the store before the smiley face disappears.

How to earn 500,000 fons in one mission in NTE

Usually, you get 250,000 for completing the mission. But blogger SemPaul showed a trick for upping the ante and earning twice as much in a single run. It all comes down to three multipliers.

Quiet Hour Bonus and Stealth Payout Multiplier

The first is the Quiet Hour bonus. Complete the mission in complete stealth, without raising the alarm, and your final payout is multiplied by 1.5. Remote camera hacking gadgets are essential here; this is crucial.

The second multiplier is the hidden vault. There’s a secret safe hidden in the mission that gives an additional 100,000-120,000 fons. The access button… where would you think? Under the desk in the director’s office. Characters with advanced hacking skills are the fastest way to open it.

Third, collecting evidence. Five blue folders are scattered around the location. Collecting them not only gives a cash reward but also boosts your Tycoon reputation. A small thing, but a nice touch.

Infinite theft and teleportation bug in Hetera

Teleport glitch NTE

How to profitably steal items in NTE (even if caught). It sounds strange, but the best way to steal is to get caught on purpose. The shopkeeper notices you and forces you to pay for the item. At this point, scroll down the item card and select any DSD Pop Toys Shop branch. The game will take you to the map screen—from there, you can teleport anywhere in Hetera.

The developers seem to have overlooked this. A bug? Most likely. But if they fix it, no big deal: open the map immediately after the theft and you’ll teleport. The stolen item remains yours even if you’re caught.

Furthermore, items in stores respawn. No one knows the exact timer, but apparently it’s once a week, on Mondays, during the weekly reset.

Where to find secret rooms and hidden safes in NTE?

In Neverness to Everness (NTE), the most valuable rewards are almost never out of sight. The developers hid lucrative loot deep in the back of locations: in safes, locked utility rooms, and offshoots that the average player can fly through stealthily without even turning their head.

These “treasure troves” are typically tied to interactive objects—access terminals, code locks on cabinets, or ventilation shafts in office blocks where patrols operate according to strictly defined time limits.

Three signs of rare loot in Neverness to Everness locations

Hidden loot locations

To avoid ending your run with paltry loot, learn to read the level design. There are three sure signs that something valuable is hidden nearby:

  • Empty areas without quest markers. If a room looks suspiciously tidy, but you don’t need to go there for the mission, it’s likely a decoy for those who are paying attention.
  • Isolated Objects. Any terminal or safe located off the main route is almost guaranteed to contain a rare drop.
  • Technical Corridors. Narrow passages and dead ends are the perfect place for a stash that won’t be immediately obvious.

Most often, these locations are accessed through hacking or finding keycards. Helpful tip: don’t rush to open a suspicious crate in the middle of a mission if you’re playing solo. First, clear the area, disable the cameras, and only then begin looting. Losing momentum and failing stealth for the sake of a single box of common loot is a poor prospect. In co-op, everything is simpler: while your partner covers the perimeter, you quickly empty the stash and move on.

Secret Hunting Guide

What to look for Common locations Rewards
Safes Offices, server rooms, executive areas Funds, valuables, rare items
Hidden Rooms Behind false panels, tech zones, locked doors Extra loot and route shortcuts
Secret Containers Vents, utility closets, remote corners Materials, consumables, occasional key items

The biggest mistake newbies make in NTE is trying to complete a mission by the shortest route. Ignoring the second layer of the map and “quiet” zones, you’re missing out on a lion’s share of the profit. A detailed search of the location is what turns a routine run into a truly successful heist, well worth the investment in equipment.

The Best Characters and Gear for Stealth Missions in NTE

SemPaul names three must-have tools. Nana is the queen of stealth. Her specialty: she becomes invisible to sensors, so you can forget about complex security systems. Silent weapons—sound suppression modules for the guns to eliminate guards without making any noise. And an escape plan: it’s best to park your bike not at the entrance, but on the roof of a nearby building. From there, you can instantly escape from the Hesperidian police once the job is done.

Result: Half a million in one run is not a bug, but a reward for attentiveness. The weekly limit of 1 million Fons is reached in just two runs. The rest of the time, freely explore the city and do whatever you want.

What’s more interesting for you in NTE missions: calculating the best stealth for maximum payout or engaging in noisy shootouts with the police, albeit with a smaller reward?
