The Canyon map in Far Far West is no boring desert. One minute you’re galloping across it like a proper cowboy, and the next, ten seconds later, you’re throwing dynamite at cave walls, hoping for an explosion. And you know what? It’s worth it.
Here’s one of the game’s biggest secrets, one that’s easy to miss if you’re rushing through the story. I’m talking about the four outlaw medallions. Each one is hidden behind a small puzzle or challenge. But if you know where to look, everything becomes much easier. Luckily, I’ve already sniffed them out.

How to activate the Canyon secret quest
The Canyon secret mission is activated at the locked vault door (south-center of the map). There’s a dead sheriff lying nearby—interact with him to read the wanted poster. This will begin the hunt for the four medallions. Three belong to the fugitive outlaws, and the fourth belongs to the sheriff himself.

Where to find all four medallions in Far Far West
Hawk Medallion at the Canyon west side

Western side of the canyon. You need to shoot ten glowing blue targets scattered around the area. Yes, all ten. After doing so, a safe will open containing your reward.
Bobby Medallion in the northern mine
North of the map, at the entrance to the mine. Take the dynamite, blow up the glowing pile of rocks blocking the entrance, and collect the medallion inside. No tricks—just bang.
Sweaty Medallion under the eastern bridge

Eastern part, under the bridge, by the water. This one’s going to be a bit of a challenge (pardon the pun). Use a shovel to dig up the piles of earth. Be careful of the skull traps. The right pile is usually at the very right edge of the cliff.
Sheriff Medallion at the vault entrance
The easiest way to get it is right there—from the dead sheriff near the vault door. Yes, it’s right there.
Secret vault rewards and dazzling loot
Have you collected all four? Return to the huge door in the south-central part of the Canyon. Insert the medallions into the empty slots. The door will open.
Inside is a hidden room with dazzling loot. You’ll find:
-
A huge gold-mining cave
-
The “Peak Peak Joker” map—summons flying pickaxes that deal damage
-
The “Elder’s Pick” secret weapon
-
And access to another secret mission—”Far North”

It looks like the developers have thrown everything they could into this. So don’t pass it by—these medallions are worth it.
Canyon Secret walkthrough errors in Far Far West
The main problem with completing Canyon Secret is excessive haste, which causes players to instantly lose their bearings. In Canyon Secret, almost every step depends on hidden triggers, although newcomers often perceive them as meaningless visual background. To avoid running in circles, you need to clearly identify the objectives: blue targets in the western sector, a rocky embankment near the mine, a specific hill in the lowland under the bridge, and the figure of the sheriff standing at the entrance to the vault.
Best medallion farming route in the Canyon
A broken route is another surefire way to drag out your progress by an extra half hour. Many people make the classic mistake of collecting easy medallions first and then trying to find difficult ones, getting completely lost in already cleared areas. Backtracking in Far Far West eats up too much time. The most effective way is to stick to a strict vector: start in the north, go west, then east, and complete the quest in the center.

Expert tips for solo Canyon playthrough
For those who prefer to explore the prairies alone, any mistake becomes critical. There’s no partner nearby to back you up while solving puzzles or point out a missed object. In solo playthrough, Canyon Secret becomes a kind of speedrun—improvisation is key, but strict adherence to a predetermined algorithm is crucial. Know where to go and what to press, otherwise Far Far West will quickly punish you for inattention.
