The “Welcome to Japan” season of the Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist continues to spoil players with hidden treasures. The latest treasure—a chest containing 100,000 credits—is hidden in the Otani region. And apparently, the developers decided to keep things simple: the coordinates are almost completely public, and the reward is simply for reaching it. Hurry, though—the chest will disappear on May 28th.

Chest location in Otani near Kinkaku-ji Temple

You need to head to Kinkaku-ji Temple. It’s located southwest of the main festival base and northwest of Mei’s house. Incidentally, one of the secret garages is nearby, but that’s not what we’re talking about right now.

The chest itself is located right on the gravel road southwest of the temple. If you’ve already been there, use fast travel. Drive up, ram the chest, and 100,000 credits are yours. A nice boost to your budget, especially for newcomers.

Until when is the chest available in FH6: May 28th

The treasure is part of the summer week of the “Welcome to Japan” series. On May 28th at 2:30 PM UTC, the season will switch to fall, and the chest in Otani will be removed. The next one will appear in the Minamino region, presumably at the golf course. And on June 11th, it’ll be Tokyo’s turn.

So grab your money while it’s warm. And yes, in FH6, these caches are released almost every week—keep an eye on the map.
