007 First Light players are pretty quick to deal with the first cosmetic choice in the game. During a visit to the Q laboratory, James Bond is offered to decide on one of the seven versions of the branded Q-Watch. A legitimate question arises: is there a difference between them? Spoiler alert — the choice does not affect the plot and gameplay in any way.

All Q-Watch options in 007 First Light

At the start, you can choose one of seven colors:
-
Midnight Burgundy
-
Ash Grey
-
Emerald Green
-
Burgundy Valley
-
Dark Blue
-
Dawn Grey
-
Winter Grey
This is where the differences actually end. There are no unique bonuses, additional features or hidden features for individual models.
Does the color of the Q-Watch affect Bond’s plot and abilities?
No. No matter which option ends up on Agent 007’s hand, the passage will remain the same. New dialogues will not appear, alternative scenes will not open, and hacking mechanics will work the same in all cases.
Tellingly, the watch itself almost doesn’t get into the frame most of the time. Therefore, many players may forget which color they chose a few hours ago.
What is the Q-Watch for in 007 First Light?
Although the choice of appearance does not affect anything, the Q-Watch itself remains one of Bond’s most useful gadgets. With its help, the agent gets access to electronic systems, opens doors, interacts with various devices and bypasses the protection of objects through hacking mini-games.
You can view the available functions of the watch in the equipment menu before starting missions.
Does it make sense to choose between the options for a long time?
Not right now. This is a purely cosmetic decision that does not affect either the story or the effectiveness of the character.
However, if the developers later add a full-fledged photo mode (and such features appear in many action films today), the chosen color scheme may become noticeable in the screenshots. In the meantime, you don’t have to waste time thinking and take the option that you just like visually.
