The Japanese DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) tag has fielded a new line-up for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 season. The organization castled with the RIDDLE ORDER team, taking away key performers and the head coach from there.
Amon “Caedye” Okakura and Yatsuka have officially joined the main DFM roster. In the opposite direction, Kim “JinboongE” Jin Won and Koki ‘gyen’ Nakamura joined the RIDDLE Tier 2 shooting gallery team. The team was led by Kakeru “Vorz” Ikarashi, who previously worked with newcomers at Challengers.
The current composition of DetonatioN FocusMe for 2026:
-
Tomonori “SSeeS” Okimura (Captain/IGL)
-
Ibuki “Meiy” Seki
-
Yu “Akame” Gwang-hui
-
Amon “Caedye” Okakura
-
Yatsuka
Coaching staff:
-
Kakeru “Vorz” Ikarashi (Head coach)
-
Hirotaka “Melofovia” Okazaki
-
Tsubasa “NorthernLights” Ando
The bet is on 18-year-old debutants. According to the tests and the official statement of the DFM, Caedye and Yatsuka have a high rate of adaptation, which is critical for the current meta. Despite their lack of experience at the Tier-1 level, in 2025, this Vorz-led bunch took four Japanese Challengers titles in a row and entered the top 4 at Ascension Pacific 2024.
Based on the history of performances, DFM has not yet entered the international arena, if you do not take into account LOCK//IN 2023. Right now, the roster faces a minimum task: a stable passage to the Pacific stages playoffs and qualification for the debut for the VALORANT Masters club.
The first test will take place at the VCT Pacific Kickoff. The draw placed DFM in the group of two—time Masters champions – Gen.G Esports. To qualify for the first major of the season in Santiago (February 28 – March 15), the team must enter the top three at the end of the tournament. Live streaming of the matches will be available on Twitch and YouTube channels of the league.
Meiy Leadership: Will 2026 be a time of triumph for DFM?
Ibuki ‘Meiy’ Seki remains the central figure in the updated DetonatioN FocusMe roster. The Japanese duelist has secured the status of a key fragger in the region, whose ACS (Average Combat Score) consistently exceeds the 250 mark. In the run-up to VCT Pacific Kickoff 2026, his role is being transformed: now he is not just a performer, but a core around which the youth team from RIDDLE is built.

Factors of Meiy’s dominance in the 2026 season:
-
Statistical stability: Keeping K/D above 1.2 in the distance against top-tier opponents in APAC.
-
Adaptability of the pool: Effective use of Jett and Raze with an emphasis on aggressive timing and creating space for the team.
| Tournament | DFM Placement | Meiy ACS | K/D |
|---|---|---|---|
| Radiant Asia Invitational 2024 | 2nd place | 260+ | 1.25 |
| Red Bull Home Ground #5 | 3rd–4th place | 255 | 1.22 |
| Champions Tour Pacific Stage 2 | Playoffs | 252 | 1.20 |
| Challengers League Japan Split 2 | 4th place | 248 | 1.18 |
The analysis of performances at the Valorant Radiant Asia Invitational and Red Bull Home Ground #5 confirms the expert status of the player. Based on the tracker data, Meiy wins up to 70% of duels in force-buy rounds, which is critical for the DFM economy. Taking into account the arrival of Coach Vorz, the strategic pattern of the game will become more jagged, which is ideal for Seki’s explosive style.
To achieve qualification for Champions 2026, the organization needs to eliminate mistakes in post-plant situations. According to the coaching staff, the current training process is focused on the map pool, where Meiy is most effective: Ascent, Breeze and Lotus.
The success of DFM in 2026 directly depends on how quickly the young Caedye and Yatsuka players synchronize with their leader’s aggressive pushes. If synergy is achieved by the start of Pacific Stage 1, the Japanese tag has a real chance to take a place in the top three and go to the Masters in Santiago.
