Finally, what fans have been waiting for since its announcement has happened. Grand Theft Auto VI is now available for pre-order on PS5 and Xbox Series X – in two versions, the standard and Ultimate editions. The release date, as a reminder, is November 19th, and this event is already rescheduling the 2026 calendar. Yes, there’s no trailer yet, but there’s plenty of news surrounding the project.
One of the most intriguing comes from Spanish insider Nash Weedle. He previously stated that Rockstar Games is actively developing a Nintendo Switch 2 version, and now he clarifies: work is in full swing, the technical issues (there were many) have already been partially resolved, and the studio has even hired contractors specializing in ports for the hybrid console. However, a Switch 2 release shouldn’t be expected this year – the insider explicitly states this, and his words are confirmed by other sources. It seems a port does exist, but it’s still a long way off.
What about the PC version?
Rockstar hasn’t officially announced a PC release yet, but tradition is relentless—previous games arrived on PC with about a year’s delay. It looks like GTA 6 will follow suit, and in 2027 we’ll see it on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.com. For now, the game remains exclusive to Sony and Microsoft consoles.
