Data miners, after a long search, found traces of a new in—game event in the Dota 2 code – apparently, it will be called Dark Carnival. The information appeared immediately after the release of the massive update 7.41, which Valve deployed on the night of March 25th.

Ringmaster and the Item Battler mini-game — what is known about the future event
The discovery was first published by the Dota Stepan Telegram channel. Ringmaster lit up in the discovered lines of code — it looks like he will become the central figure of the upcoming event. The lines and interaction elements have already been written for him, so the preparation is in full swing. In addition, the dataminers caught the mention of a mini-game with the working title Item Battler. If you believe the leaks, the mechanics will combine the autochess approach with roguelike elements — a curious combination, to put it mildly.

Patch 7.41 for Dota 2 — what has changed in the game
The 7.41 update itself turned out to be really large-scale. Valve completely cut out the aspect system, redesigned the innate abilities of the heroes from scratch and seriously shook up the balance of items — both neutral artifacts and basic game mechanics were given. In addition, the developers have updated the interface and patched up the technical part of the client. A detailed analysis of all the patch changes is provided in the material below.
