CS2 update caused a bug with invisible stickers and game freezes
Bad news for the audience! As it turned out, Valve’s new Counter-Strike 2 update has turned into a real headache for skin lovers. The publisher released a patch that completely broke the mechanics of weapon customization. Players are complaining en masse — now the stickers and key rings just disappear from view in the menu. But, to be honest, it’s still half the trouble. The most unpleasant thing happens when you’re still trying to attach an accessory to a cannon – the game is stuck at that moment, forcing gamers to nervously restart the client.
Actually, this update for CS2 was rolled out on Tuesday, January 27th. Valve, in theory, planned to improve stability and clean up minor errors, but, as is often the case, we treat one thing and cripple another. The list of changes, by the way, includes sound edits, gameplay balance and spot polishing of maps — Nuke, Warden and Sanctum were dealt. Apparently, the developers got so carried away with location fixes that they looked at a critical bug in the skin system. The situation looks as strange as possible, because it is the visual elements that bring huge profits to the corporation, and now this functionality simply does not work.
