Insiders have once again lifted the lid, and at the worst possible time for the publisher. While fans of the toy-like game have been toying with Unleashed 2: Turbocharged for three years, the Italians at Milestone have been quietly putting together a sequel to the marathon. The new installment has been subtitled Infinite Rush, and its full release, according to a recent leak from the reputable portal Dealabs, is scheduled for September 24, 2026. Get your wallets and gamepads ready.

The project will be available on virtually every current platform—PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and even the mysterious Nintendo Switch 2 are on the list. The standard edition will launch at $49.99. There has been no official announcement from Milestone or the publisher yet, but judging by the timing of the leak, a full-blown fireworks show will be held at Summer Game Fest this evening.

What did the leaked Hot Wheels Infinite Rush trailer show?

The Australians have messed things up again, and in the most classic way. The local branch of retailer EB Games accidentally uploaded a minute-and-a-half-long Hot Wheels Infinite Rush video to their YouTube channel ahead of schedule. The trailer, unearthed by renowned dataminer billbil-kun, is already making the rounds online, despite attempts to quickly catch up.

What’s inside? (and there’s a lot of interesting stuff):

  • A fully-fledged open world: Instead of the usual closed arenas, players will be given a huge, open sandbox to explore.
  • In-engine gameplay: No pre-rendering—the videos show the real thing, with crazy loops and giant plastic structures.
  • Interactive bosses: One shot showed a colossal figure of King Kong, who, judging by the looks of it, will be tearing up the track right during the race.

It seems the developers decided not to reinvent the wheel, but simply crank up the scale. The physics will remain distinctly arcade-like, but insiders swear Milestone has paid special attention to the “feel of the asphalt” and responsive controls. If the rumors are true, we’ll be treated to a model time-killer for the fall—bright, loud, and without a hint of stifling realism. The presentation at Summer Game Fest will finally dot the i’s and cross the t’s. We’ll see how accurate this massive leak is.
