The development of content for the hit survival series V Rising has officially been completed — the Stunlock Studios team is transferring all resources to a completely new project. The path to Dracula is over. Now the authors are preparing their largest-scale game in the same vampire universe, getting rid of the old technical crutches forever.

Why V Rising will be left without new addons and mods
The game was an unqualified success, but the early architecture of the code proved to be a real trap. The developers bluntly stated that the old foundations simply stifle fresh ideas. Trying to put innovative mechanics on top of the current build is no longer advisable (a classic problem for overgrown projects). Therefore, do not wait for global content patches anymore.
Of course, the V Rising servers are not closed. The studio will continue to release routine balance edits and bug fixes, but that will be the end of the support. They won’t even roll out the long-awaited official mod system. The current framework simply does not allow us to create adequate tools for enthusiasts, so all the experience gained in this area will immediately be used to develop the next title.
What is known about the secret game from Stunlock Studios
Freed from the limitations of the original, the team threw themselves into creating an ambitious sequel. The new project will unfold in the already familiar gloomy setting, but the scale is promised to be completely different — the world will become many times more dangerous, deeper and more mysterious.

It’s definitely not worth waiting for gameplay trailers or at least teasers in the coming months. Stunlock Studios has gone into the shadows, apparently in order to roll out another hit one day and shake up the genre again.
