LCS Final Rosters for 2021 Season

This year 2020 has been crazy in many senses, and the North American League of Legends Championship Series couldn’t be any different. After a pretty poor performance at the World Championship, many teams have realized that changes must be done in order to keep the importance of the region internationally.

As well as teams decided to transform, many legends of the LCS have decided to step aside and retire in favour of new talents.

This combined has created one of the craziest ‘Free Agency’ seasons we can recall, and in this article, we are going to summarize all the player exchanges and roster movements we have witnessed, so you can start the 2021 season perfectly ready!

Team SoloMid

• Top: Huni
• Jungle: Spica
• Mid: PowerOfEvil
• ADC: Lost
• Suppor: SwordArt

TSM has been one of the teams that have changed the most during this ‘Free Agency’ season. After a very bad experience at Worlds, the legendary team reinforces for 2021 with the acquisition of another legend: Huni, who will replace BrokenBlade after the former TSM top laner changed the black for the blue in LEC’ Schalke 04.

Spica is the only player that will remain in the main roster of TSM, while the mid lane will be occupied by PowerOfEvil, in substitution of Bjergsen, who has announced his retirement and has become the new Head Coach of the organization.

Speaking about retirements, a similar thing has happened in the bot lane, where Doublelift announced that he was hanging the mouse too, so the team has decided to promote Lost from the academy team to make a duo with one of the most surprising player acquisitions of the year: SwordArt, who comes from the second-qualified team of the World Championship, Suning.

FlyQuest

• Top: Licorice
• Jungle: Josedeodo
• Mid: Palafox
• ADC: Jhonsun
• Support: Diamond

After a very successful 2020, FlyQuest gets ready for the upcoming season with the acquisition of Cloud9’s former players Licorice, Palafox, and Diamond, for the top, mid, and support positions.

They will be playing alongside Jhonsun, who comes from Dignitas, and one of the brightest performers of the last World Championship, the Latin-American jungler Josedeodo, from Rainbow7.

As you can see, none of the players of the 2020 roster remain in the team, after Santorin left to Team Liquid, PowerOfEvil to TSM, WildTurtle to CLG, and Ignar to Evil Geniuses.

Team Liquid

• Top: Alphari
• Jungle: Santorin
• Mid: Jensen
• ADC: Tactical
• Support: CoreJJ

Team Liquid has not changed that much. Nevertheless, their roster heading 2021 looks like one of the strongest candidates to take the North American Championship after the acquisition of one of the best top laners of Europe’s history: Alphari, who comes from Astralis (former Origen).

Alphari will be the replacement of Impact, who has signed with Evil Geniuses.

The second and last change in Team Liquid‘s roster is the one we mentioned above: Santorin comes from FlyQuest to replace Broxah in the jungle, while the European jungler has been acquired by CLG.

Cloud9

• Top: Fudge
• Jungle: Blaber
• Mid: Perkz
• ADC: Zven
• Support: Vulcan

Despite Cloud9 roster has not been one of the most transformed rosters, the team has performed one of the most important transfers of the year: the European legend Perkz has left G2 Esports to join them in the mid lane for 2021.

Due to his entrance, Nisqy has left the team to join Fnatic in the LEC, while Fudge has been promoted from the Academy team to replace Licorice in the top lane.

Evil Geniuses

• Mid: Jiizuke
• ADC: Defly
• Support: Ignar

Evil Geniuses is one of the teams that head into 2021 with a brand new spirit, that is why they have renewed their roster with the acquisition of Impact, from Team Liquid, to replace Huni in the top lane.

With the retirement of Goldenglue, Jiizuke secures the mid lane for him alongside Svenskeren, who will continue in the jungle.

The bot lane has been completely changed after Bang joined Afreeca Freecs and Zeyzal parted ways with the team, so the new duo for the upcoming season will be Defly, promoted from the Academy team, and Ignar, who comes from FlyQuest.

Golden Guardians

• Top: Niles
• Jungle: Iconic
• Mid: Ablaxeolive
• ADC: Stixxay
• Support: Newbie

Golden Guardians have restructured the team after Closer, Damonte, FBI, and Huhi left the team to join 100Thieves.

To replace the empty spots of the main roster, the team has acquired for the jungle Iconic, coming from Universidades, and has formed a new bot lane duo with Stixxay, from CLG, and Newbie, coming from All knights.

100 Thieves

• Top: Ssumday
• Jungle: Closer
• Mid: Damonte
• ADC: FBI
• Support: Huhi

As mentioned above, four players from Golden Guardians have joined forces with 100Thieves, and only Ssumday remains from the former roster, after players like Cody Sun, Contractz, and Ryoma were reported to leave the organization.

Dignitas

• Top: FakeGod
• Jungle: Dardoch
• Mid: Soligo
• ADC: Neo
• Support: Aphromoo

Dignitas gets ready for the upcoming year with the acquisition of young talents like FakeGod for the top lane, who comes from Cloud9‘s Academy team, Soligo for the mid lane, coming from 100Thieves Academy team, and Neo for the ADC position, promoted from the Dignitas Academy team, all of them meant to replace Johnsun, Froggen, and V1per.

Counter Logic Gaming

• Top: Finn
• Jungle: Broxah
• Mid: Pobelter
• ADC: WildTurtle
• Support: Smoothie

CLG has made some important acquisitions during this ‘Free Agency’ season, highlighting Finn, who joins the top lane after leaving Rogue in LEC, or Broxah who, as we mentioned before, has left Team Liquid and will join CLG’s jungle.

With WildTurtle (from FlyQuest) as the new ADC, the team is completed with Pobelter and Smoothie in the mid and support positions.

Immortals

• Top: Revenge
• Jungle: Xerxe
• Mid: Insanity
• ADC: Raes
• Support: Destiny

Alongside Guilhoto, who comes from Astralis to be the new Head Coach for Immortals, Xerxe and Destiny have joined forces with the North American team after the worst of the seasons in the LEC.

The jungler and the support will play together with Raes, the new ADC coming from Legacy, and Revenge, the new top laner coming from FlyQuest.
