This whole crazy hodgepodge of styles and meanings turns out to be unexpectedly integral, because it is wrapped in a logical – albeit strange – psychedelic story. The events take place on an old research station, lost somewhere in the depths of a distant planet. Once it was the hope of humanity – an ambitious colonization project, an attempt to break through the Earth. But dreams remained dreams. What exactly went wrong is shrouded in darkness. Either the planet turned out to be mortally dangerous, or predatory alien life forms got in the way, or everything was swallowed up by a catastrophe, and the project was simply abandoned. One way or another, the connection with Earth was lost long ago and, apparently, forever. But the station did not turn into a dead heap of metal. Life there continued – only not in the usual, biological form, but in silicon. Without people, but not without reason.
Five unique supercomputers, dubbed “derelicts,” continued to work. Each of them was once given their own personality traits — like AI clones with different personalities. Some are hot-tempered and impulsive, some are pedantic and cold, some are prone to depression and philosophy. These machines were designed for one task — to model possible life scenarios on this planet in the format of virtual simulations. People wanted to understand whether it was possible to survive here, and entrusted the computing work to what they considered eternal.

However, time passed. There were still no people. The teams no longer came. And each AI, left alone with eternity, began to change its behavior. One derelict, having decided that humanity was dead, took on the “highest mission” — to recreate the human race within the simulation. He plays God, generating civilizations within the virtual world. Another one still believes in the instructions written in the code and follows them with fanatical devotion. And the third one… simply escaped from reality. He plunged into illusions, simulates something meaningless, and does not really know why. So each AI found a refuge for itself – and began to distance itself from the others.

But suddenly a real threat arose – a mysterious digital virus that began to infect simulations and, apparently, is capable of destroying the derelicts themselves. And here their inner world turned out to be powerless. Someone is needed who can act in physical space – explore stations, fix glitches, interact with the environment.
