To be honest, at first I just laughed. The game’s banner is some kind of neural network hodgepodge: empty rooms, banal assets, as if everything was cobbled together from standard blanks. I didn’t even want to open the page. But something still caught my attention: I saw a couple of gameplay features, decided to watch the videos… And somehow, without noticing it, I got hooked. A couple of minutes later, I was already buying it for seven – God forgive me – dollars. Yes, it all looked dubious, but in the end I didn’t regret a cent. Since then, I launch it every evening – a great way to breathe out after a hard day. The game is surprisingly not banal. This is not just a store simulator where you have to throw goods on the shelves and click on the cash register. This is a full-fledged management project in which you start your business from scratch. At the beginning, you only have an empty room and a little start-up capital. The task is to turn this dull hall into a working, lively store filled with goods, where trade is in full swing.
The system is quite cleverly designed. You have three main zones: the sales area, the warehouse, and the farm. The store is your front: here you meet customers, monitor the display, and serve at the checkout. The warehouse is the heart of logistics. And the farm is a whole other story: here you grow vegetables, breed animals, and collect ingredients for production. And what’s especially cool is that you create almost everything that is sold yourself. From grown carrots to baked pies, bottles of juice, custom paints for the walls, and then you even adjust the furniture to match the interior. The assortment in the game is really huge. At first you think: okay, carrots, milk, flour… And then you realize that the list of goods is almost endless. Here you have pasta of different shapes, and pastries, and cakes, and drinks, and semi-finished products, and all sorts of decorative things. Gradually, new recipes are discovered, and you want to try them all. But here’s the problem – there is absolutely not enough space. You have to expand the store and warehouse as you go, and each new improvement requires money. And of course, there is never enough money.

That’s why you have to think ahead: what to produce, what to sell, what to save on, where to invest. The game really makes you calculate your moves, especially when you start to feel how quickly the costs are growing. Of course, you can hire employees to help you with the routine. But they also cost money, and they don’t always do the job as you would like. At some point, you realize that it’s more reliable to control everything yourself: you stand at the cash register, then run to the warehouse, then to the farm, then back, before you can look back, the day has already passed. But in my opinion, that’s the whole fun. This is not an action game, not an adrenaline rush – this is a meditative, but at the same time quite deep simulator of everyday entrepreneurship. Everything that appears in the store is the result of your work. And this makes even the most banal bottle of orange juice seem valuable. Watching how your tiny business turns into a full-fledged farm, where everything works like clockwork – it’s really nice.
If you want a game in which you can just relax, do something creative and feel that everything depends only on you – this thing can drag you in. Not right away, but surely.

Gameplay Farming & Supermarket Simulator
Honestly? I wouldn’t call this game soulful. It lacks warmth, coziness or any distinct personality. It’s clear that the project is still in early access – there aren’t many details yet, the environment is a bit empty in places, and the visuals give off a template. But despite all this, the game has its own charm. And not at the level of “what an atmosphere!”, but through the gameplay. The mechanics here are really well thought out. Not exactly revolutionary, but interesting and sometimes even deeper than you expect. Everything works logically, without strain or annoying limitations. It’s pleasant to move around, the animations of movement cause that very stickiness – you don’t expect a wow effect from them, but in the process you catch yourself just enjoying the way the character moves.
The interface also surprised. It is minimalistic to the extreme, without clutter and unnecessary buttons, but intuitive. No long analysis or rummaging through tabs – opened the menu, saw what you need, clicked. That’s it. For me personally, this is very important: when the game does not interfere with the game, but on the contrary – helps, prompts, guides, but does not suffocate with its complexity. And, you know, this is not even exactly a “farm” in the classical sense. This is more of a strategy game, where you need to competently organize production, establish logistics and at the same time organize the space for yourself. In this regard, it even resembles a construction set – you can rebuild, move, change the layout as you please. No restrictions: do you want a warehouse in the middle of a vegetable garden? Yes, please. Do you want to turn the entire store – go ahead. This freedom of action is really captivating.

At some point, I built a semi-fantastic supermarket called “Food Galaxy”. It sounds funny, I know, but the point is that I had everything in my assortment – from fresh cabbage to multi-colored juices and handmade pastries. And then suddenly a man rolls up to me on a tractor. Seriously — he loads up on wholesale purchases and leaves, as if I really organized some kind of rural trading hub. And here I am, looking at all this stuff — the shelves that I filled myself, the vegetable garden that I planted myself, the recreation area that I built myself from simple boards… And I understand: yes, maybe the game is not very beautiful, but it gives you the feeling that you have really achieved something. There are no ready-made scenarios, no “lead the character through the plot” — everything depends on you. And, perhaps, this is what hooks it.
So if you are looking for a project where you can immerse yourself in the organization, where you want to think through every step, but at the same time you do not feel pressure or rush — try it. It will not entertain you like a circus show, but it will give you the opportunity to build your own little world. And sometimes this is quite enough.
