Honestly, I didn’t think I’d get so hooked. And it all started quite harmlessly – I decided to try Car for Sale Simulator just out of curiosity. First, I downloaded a trial version from the store to “try it out”. And then I got so into it that I bought the game on Steam – and now I’ve spent more than 15 hours in it. And it seems that this is not the limit.
This game is like a quiet pool. At first glance, nothing special: you take used cars, repair them, put them up for sale and haggle with buyers. But you get into it quickly. Each deal is exciting, especially when you manage to foist off junk for the price of candy.
The last couple of weeks, however, there has been no news from the developers – no updates, no teasers, no patches. That’s why I decided not to wait any longer and make my review of Car for Sale Simulator 2023. I think those who are just looking at the game or are already head over heels in it will be interested to learn about the pros, cons and, of course, personal impressions.

Car For Sale Simulator is not just a game, but a real business experience in which you try on the role of a car dealership owner. You have to build a car trade from scratch: find good deals, invest wisely in buying cars and then sell them at a profit. But it is not that easy – customers will not buy the first wreck they come across. Each buyer has their own preferences and requirements, and your task is to understand what exactly they need and offer a suitable option.
Before you put a car up for sale, you will have to take care of its condition. The game pays special attention to maintenance: you personally inspect each car, check its main systems and decide what needs to be replaced or repaired. You will have to monitor everything: from the condition of the engine to the suspension and brakes. If you miss even a minor malfunction, it can have a negative impact on the reputation of your business – and therefore on your profits.

What I Really Liked About Car for Sale Simulator
This game is captivating not only with its idea, but also with its implementation. It is clear that the developers put their soul into it, not just the code. The cars feel different: some accelerate faster, others respond better to the steering wheel, and you want to never part with others. If you install a drift kit on a front-wheel drive, don’t expect miracles, the car will behave, to put it mildly, inadequately. And it is these little things that make the immersion real. I was especially pleased with how the main character puts his hand on the headrest of the passenger seat when he reverses – just like in life. And the gear shift animation is a real treat, you want to watch it again.
The game has two rare beauties – RX-7 and GT-R. These models are real pearls of the car fleet, but you can only get them at auction. They do not just appear in a store or on the street, and this makes the hunt for them many times more interesting. Here, everything depends on the will of randomness: for example, I was lucky – the auction lasted two days in a row, and I snatched first a Nissan, and then a Mazda. But, for example, Alexander Bulkin still dreams of catching a Japanese car for himself. It is not so much the price, but the feeling of the value of these cars that makes you hunt for them again and again.
The beginning of the game is a real test of strength. Everything is difficult, every decision is important. But as soon as you manage to accelerate to 30-35 thousand rubles, a completely different stage begins – business is already easier, new opportunities appear, and you yourself begin to feel more confident. Perhaps one of the strongest aspects of the game is a large selection of cars. More than 50 models, and almost each with its own features. If you want – test, if you want – sell. Here are just a few of the available types of cars that you can interact with:

Although over time it becomes less profitable to deal with cheap models, at the beginning of the journey they really help out.
And the best thing is that the game continues to develop. A new update should be released soon, and I’m looking forward to it. I’m especially interested in how the junkyard will be implemented and the ability to restore rusty troughs found there. This could breathe new life into the game.
Cons that are obvious
Honestly? Most of the cars here behave like they have four soap wheels. Only behind the wheel of the GT-R do I feel at least somewhat confident. The rest are complete chaos on the road, especially if you decide to add a little tuning.
I have ultra settings, but I did not see any particular beauty. The picture is soapy, the detail is weak, and the only thing that really changes between low and ultra is the car’s interior. And even that is not very impressive.
The game is still in early access, and it is noticeable. Sometimes the sound can simply disappear, and cars in the parking lot suddenly form a tower, as if you are in some kind of physics sandbox. Funny? Sometimes. And sometimes – very annoying.
I already have over 6 million rubles in my account, but there is nothing to spend it on. Cars for 30-40 thousand are no longer my level, and even a Porsche for 200 thousand does not arouse interest. I want something truly exclusive and expensive, not this modest selection.
How long does it take to level up! Once upon a time, you could farm experience at the car wash, but the developers closed this loophole. Now, to earn one point, you have to collect 200 or even 250 experience points. This turns into a dull and drawn-out process.
This is what the game needs now for it to truly open up:

Add more content for the late stage: unique cars, rare parts, elite orders.

Rework the leveling mechanics: make it a little faster or add alternative ways to gain experience.

Improve graphics optimization so that the difference between settings is noticeable not only in the cabin.

Clean up bugs, especially those that interfere with immersion in the process.
Overall, despite all these shortcomings, I really liked Car for Sale Simulator. I spent a lot of time in it, pumped up the house, the container, the business – everything to the max. The problem is that now there is simply nothing to do. A kind of “end game”. But I’m sure I’ll come back as soon as the update comes out.
By the way, if you read to the end – here’s an interesting fact: the GT-R is the only right-hand drive car in the game. But here’s the problem – the hero’s animations are still for the left-hand drive. Therefore, when engaging reverse gear, he theatrically stretches his hand out the window, and changes gears somewhere near the door. It’s funny, ridiculous, but it also has its own charm.
