The Astralis Club has officially confirmed that the Counter-Strike 2 team is waiting for tectonic shifts towards the “international format”. By the way, real legends of the Danish scene are leaving the team: Nicolai ‘dev1ce‘ Reedtz and Emil ‘Magisk‘ Reif — the organization will now be looking for new fighters all over the world, not just in Denmark.

CEO Jonas Gundersen explained the contract situation in his blog — Magisk’s agreement is valid until December 31, 2025, but dev1ce, apparently, agreed to the transfer as early as 2026. To tell the truth, the bosses of the club have long known about Emil’s departure. We also had an open dialogue with Nicolai, so this decision, in principle, did not come as a surprise.

Magisk, it is worth recalling, became part of the team on September 1, 2025. During this time, he managed to show up at top events — take the same ESL Pro League Season 22, PGL Masters Bucharest or IEM Chengdu.

As for dev1ce, this is his second departure from his native harbor in his entire career. He started his journey to Astralis back in 2016, moving from TSM, then there was a voyage to Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2021 and a triumphant comeback a year later. In fact, the golden years of the club are connected with him — four wins at the Majors, including StarLadder Berlin 2019 and ELEAGUE Atlanta 2017.

Nicolai himself admitted that it was damn difficult to leave the organization again. However, he seems to have wanted to try something radically new for a long time – now the player is waiting for another chapter in his biography.

This is a historic moment for Astralis. Previously, they held tightly to the “Danish vector”, but now the boundaries have been erased — the organization is ready to take the best talents from the global market. Unexpected, but logical. Let’s see what such an aggressive paradigm shift will lead to — this is clearly a bid to return to the top.

The reasons for the Astralis line-up change and the results of Major 2025

The Danish authority of Astralis finally decided on a radical change of course after their performance at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 turned into a cold shower. Imagine this: out of the 32 top global teams, the Danes crawled only to the 19th place – in fact, they were among the eight weakest rosters of the second stage, which became the catalyst for the current personnel purges.

Astralis line-up change

To be honest, the team was in a storm all through 2025 — with a good level of shooting, there weren’t enough real trophies in the piggy bank. By the way, they glowed everywhere: from BLAST Bounty to IEM Katowice and PGL Bucharest. Of the highlights, it’s worth remembering the bronze at PGL Clu-Napoca 2025 in February — then the guys raised $150,000 (about 111,060 pounds), offensively losing to FaZe Clan in a tight match. There was also the final in Astana, where Team Spirit, unfortunately for the fans, closed them out with a score of 1-3 — as a result, they earned $93,750, but the taste of defeat did not go away.

Experts’ forecast: will Astralis shares fall after the transfer?

Now Astralis Group is going through, apparently, the most turbulent period in its history, both on servers and on the stock exchange. Investors are in a panic: will new transfers help quotes regain their former power, or are we witnessing a prolonged fall into the abyss? Analysts, by the way, are divided into two camps, but numbers are a stubborn thing.

Financial indicators and capitalization of the club on the stock exchange

Securities under the ASTRLS ticker have been on the stock exchange since 2019, and if at the start the capitalization was around $75 million ($1.35 per share), then by 2025 the price had collapsed to a measly 20 cents. Now the price tag is frozen around 257.9 — – analysts, however, set the target at 380.23 ₽ and shout “Buy”, but the real yield is still frightening with a minus of 5.82%. The club is actually in debt – the June report revealed critical budget holes, which actually led to the sale of the organization for a modest $2 million. Neither the comeback of device, nor the rotation with Farlig, in fact, did not fix the situation — the crisis has been dragging on for three years.

Dependence of securities quotations on the rotation of the roster

Any movement in the public club’s roster is a direct blow to the shares. Do you remember replacing Andreas ‘Xyp9x’ Højsleth’s with Christian ‘Buzz’ Andersen’s? The quotes sank significantly then, because the investments did not come back with prizes. Experts are confident that if the new international cast (a la FaZe) doesn’t start ripping into CS2 right now, the stock will fall by another 10-15% in the coming quarter. Even the return of the device gave only a temporary pump of 5%, which was quickly devoured by debts.

Forecast of results and financial prospects of the organization

The new owners promise mountains of gold in CS2, but without real victories, the pressure on the securities will only increase. The forecast is as follows: a short decline of 7-10% immediately after the announcement of the line-up, and a chance of recovery only if they get into the top 8 at the next Major. Investors, keep an eye on the reports — this is, in fact, the only way to find out the truth before the market.
